  1. I have a whippetx and she is a red merle, but is dilute so she is really pale beige with sandy coloured blotches and blue eyes... really striking to look at but whether she's going to be any good or not a bit early to tell yet.. will post a picky when I work out how to...
  2. Its great to have found this forum. I have just acquired a lurcher pup and she is doing very well. She has replaced a staffie whippet lurcher bitch that I lost recently. The previous bitch had been rehomed to us and wasn't a working lurcher but a pet, she should have worked though as she had all the heart and ability of a good lurcher. She was not steady to livestock unfortunately so I was unable to take her out rabbiting with friends that regularly take out their lurchers. I hope to be able to bring my new pup on, so that she can be a pet but also learn the 'job' of being a proper lurcher
  3. Hello, just thought I would join the forum as acquiring a new lurcher pup, has taken me to new hunting possibilities! My family have hunted with the local beagle pack for quite a number of years now and we are staunch pro hunt. I have always loved working dogs in preference to dogs bred for the show ring. I believe they need a job to do and love seeing them work. So it will be great to chat on this forum with like minded folk.
