  1. Lots of good posts on this thread. You can see those that have been around terriers and know the score.
  2. What hard working strain is it ?
  3. I mean, do they want and expect the dog to kill his fox ? With this type I presume they are not looking for a bolt ? With this type Fell Pack I would hope the quality of a terrier is where it should be because I expect with some of them tally ho type terriers they are as shitty as it gets.
  4. fellman, what do you expect from a terrier that works with the fell packs ?
  5. Bull blood does influence
  6. Pat Burns, wine is all the same if you put it on the shelf just to look at the label, but I guess we wouldn't be talking about whether Cowen blood is any good unless someone has tasted it and found it lacking.
  7. Why do you choose to call it a white Lakeland ? Does it have more Lakeland blood than Russell ? Or does it get more respect when you call it a white Lakeland than when you call it a Russell ?
  8. Fellman, what do you mean by tidy ?
  9. I had one. It would chase those bloody rats off. I believe if he ever got ahold of one he would have killed the bloody thing.
  10. JOEB, dogs of course can be bitten by snakes at anytime. This would occur more readily out in the field while the dogs are in grassy areas etc. where snakes like to sun themeselves and look for food. You wouldn't find one down an inhabited earth or any earth that is used by game for that matter. They would more likely be in secluded places under fallen trees, under rocks etc. Snakes are clever and can sneak away undetected. I never had a terrier bit by a snake, but have happened on them a few times.
  11. I'd say there was another smaller pipe connecting in at a 90 degree and the game squeezed in where the terrier couldn't get.
  12. Red dog and black fox ? Shouldn't it be red fox and black dog ? lol lol
  13. I've heard a man tell me to pick the one that jumps on top of his dog house. He will be the one. lol
  14. It might be a yeast infection istead of an ear mite........
  15. Countryman, I think a Sealyham would be a bit too cloddy to catch many rats............ya think ?
  16. Good Taffy, I hope they all make the grade
  17. Sorry Pickaxe, hope you have and see alot more good ones come along
  18. Nice pup for sure.............how old ?
  19. Nice terrier Dannyboy............does it have wheaton influence ?
  20. Keep her coupled with another dog that will come back to you.
  21. Turk, I always thought it was because the greyhound could carry the pups easier and also have larger litters. Why would the genetics be any different if you used a greyhound dog over a bull bitch ?
  22. Disappointing Swaneajack, but that is the way the cards are delt sometimes. Hope you get a winner soon.
  23. That red spotted bull cross you showed awhile back was da bomb
