  1. Myself and Leah had a great day at the Gilford Show at the Maze, Lisburn on Saturday. We'd like to thank everyone involved in organising and running the showing and racing. It was a great day, great venue, great weather!! We had a huge win with our gang. Moley won best dog, overall whippet champion and overall Show Champion. He won best pairs with Bodi. And in the whippet racing, Bear and Spot got 1st and 2nd. Congrats to everyone who took part and all the other winners, and many thanks to the organisers for the brilliant prizes. I didn't get a chance to take a photo on the day,
  2. Looks like there was a bit of a party going on there! Hope everyone got home safe. I don't envy the early morning wake up you all had, or the long drive home. That rubbish in the bin wasn't all ours, lol , was a long day and a late nite by the time I got home Yeah right, you all were chilling in the sunshine, something was going on . I only copped the chip van was there, after I ate my sandwiches !!!!!

  4. Thanks rollerman. I'm not sure if we're heading to birr, it will be a last minute decision, and if we don't best of luck to you and I'll catch up with you another time.
  5. Dave we were watching (that group of people) all day , know exactly were your coming from pity ok but can safely say it was just (that group) and not for the first time either . Yeah Ged, you'd no choice, they parked beside you, and it was just them (that group). One little **** tried to take a lead from the boot of my car. I should've used the boot on my foot.............
  6. Rollerman, sorry you couldn't make it to the show. If you qualified for the 32 counties, you might be qualified for the All Ireland championship on 8th September, up north at the Field of Dreams- you'll have to check with someone who knows. I know it's a good drive from Cork, but you might be able to sort a lift with someone. Dave.
  7. I'll be heading up with herself and the gang in tow. Hopefully it will be a good turnout.
  8. Holy Moley and blue 998! Champion whippet puppy and overall show Champion puppy. Chuffed for my little guy, he's growing up fast but we're enjoying every minute with him!
  9. We had a great day yesterday. Lovely weather, great field, overall it was a good turnout, despite a few familiar faces missing. Good atmosphere and the rings were busy all day. Pity about a particular group of people, trying their hand (literally) at relieving people of their personal possessions - not just this show, but unfortunately for most of the southern shows, it's a shame cars have to be locked up and people have to keep tabs on all their stuff, if only this didn't happen, it'd make for a better day. Should've brought a notebook with me for all the tips and advice and good contact
  10. Thanks rollerman, dazzam and Ged, and everyone else who pm'd and phoned with advice and help. Took him home from vet this evening. Plan of action ready for the morning. Still very poorly. Hoping the overnight stay at home will boost him a little bit. Sorry to have hijacked the thread, but hey here's a bump for the show. It's going to be a great show. If bear is stable in any way,, we might head down for a few hours with the other dogs, just to get them out. Thanks again everyone and best of luck to all...
  11. Hi, I just want to let you know on time, that I won't be able to bring Bear, whippet qualifier from Farney Harriers to the championship, and if you could notify John Shaw who was reserve champion ( with Mango I think ) Bear is seriously ill, almost touch and go, and is spending his 2nd night at the vets being pumped with iv's. Fingers crossed he'll come home. We are completely gutted he is so sick. ***Just on a side note, if anyone with whippets ever had their whippet experience ongoing high temperatures, lethargy, caused by an unknown bacterial infection , please PM me with what
