  1. Off on a tangent....the shock waves that criminals own demise caused was the spawn of hundreds of criminals across the UK. Ironically i was in Afghanistan on the front line (with 3 Cdo) when both incidents happened. It was a bad 6 months.....and to think we were going through that to see the looters and rioters ripping our beloved country apart for the apparent protest of some low life scum who deserved to be executed at birth in our newspapers and on news reports. No wonder Blackman snapped. He's probably not the only one...untill now iv not wanted to comment on this subject. But
  2. I strongly disagree... The Mk4 has a electronically managed regulator calculating precise pressures and air release each time it fires. Reducing the power curve effect that guns not like it produce. Each shot is as accurate as the next. Also there is the the lock time, the point in which the trigger is pulled to the pellet being fired. Because of the electronic trigger this is almost instant. Reducing the risk of a pulled shot again increasing the accuracy. Also a match grade barrel, improves the run of the pellet as it leaves the barrel. Iv owned a BSA Ultra before as a dedi
  3. Daystate servicing is expensive granted. But buy from theairguncentre in Essex and you get servicing free for life. But Daystates technology you can't dispute still one of the most accurate air rifles on the market. Other than the normal HFT dedicated rifles. Call it gay or what ever you like, it's still one of the best out there. Keep the MK4 I say. Buy British, help the economy and hold something a little bit special in your collection
  4. Think of the support Daystate offer, iv never fired a Rapid in all honesty but I do know as a hunting tool my MK4 is hard to top. Especially for shot to shot accuracy.

  6. Thats true. Its just when you want to practice and have a few shots. I had a 50ft lb rifle that did 17shots max in .25 but it was a hell of a killer and accurate. It had a very soft recoil. Do you think they will do fac in the B type? The action is strong enough for a FAC. .25 would need a longer barrel to be worth the power. Iv shot a. 60lb .22 and that was good. Very few pellets about heavy enough thou
  7. Get rid of the Gaystate and get another ultra SE you know it makes sense ! Jealousy is a terrible thing. Daystate or go home I say
  8. If you have a iPhone use Istrelok the app gives you good idea of your fallen shot. And if the data you put in is spot on then it's very accurate
  9. i used to have a Theoben Mk1 .25, and it was a amazing ratting tool. Sadly the rifle died and i gave it to a mate who restores rifles. Now i use my Daystate MK4 IS 30fpe with the H&N Barracuda Extreme. They expand so well its truly devastating, more so than my old .25
  10. To add a little to this. if you extend your non-trigger arm out as far forward as possible bend the fore arm back to you and up the stock back into your arm pit, that will stabilize the barrel and follow through with the breathing rotation. More important when your shooting full bore. Ill find some photos to post to show this better.
  11. The 8x56 is hard to come by, I'm looking for one thou.
  12. Went out last night with the Docter, for low light it's brilliant. For the range and stuff I'm doing it is brilliant quality. Really snapped a bargain up here
  13. Lol yes I agree, but way before my era, we have brought back the 7.62 now, it's a niece piece of kit. But the privates seem to get all the fun now, iv I have to fire something has gone very wrong.
  14. I'm covered in every way possible. 9lb isn't that much Jees, I carried a SA80 loaded every day for 6 months solid that's 11lb, 9lb is fine really. All though the rifle is long But I use a set of vanguard tripods which are immense. Mine are the three tier ones so I can shoot from sitting kneeling or standing. And so what if it doesn't hold it's value, iv supported a British made piece remarkable engineering by one of the finest air rifle manufacture's in the business. But yeah like you say each to their own. It's what I wanted, it's what I saved up for, and it's what I brough
  15. Trust me no offence taken. I think you should come down and see what the fuss is all about. As for hold over, with a 50 yard zero, 100 yards is 3 Mildots over. And is still producing 57ft/lb on a 50.1gr pellet. The advantage is the sheer size of the round, it destroys rabbits. And the size of the round means that at 50-60 yards the Hyrdrostatic Trauma it causes to the skull and lung cavity of something the size if a fox/coyote is astonishing. It's also more accurate than a .22LR iv been achieving Sub MOA at yards consistanly. The down side is it's only 12 shots max ! But I have a
  16. its immense, i think more accurate than my .22LR You have to keep still in mind that its a very very powerful rifle, respect the back stop more so than ever. I have a few high chairs i shoot from. I use Hollow tips 55gr for foxes and the Daystate .303 50 grain for rabbits and the like
  17. Hi Brian, Yeah it's a awesome rifle, my FEO put me down for the Benjamin calibre but I'm not going to get one now. My wolverine is going to be used for long range rabbits and fox's that keep in getting in and around the small holding. No more than 50 yard shots. It's a super piece of kit.
  18. Yes I had to specify. .303 air rifle and moderator. Infact to be specific my FAC states .30 and .35 Air Rifle . Depending on your area the police are starting to warm to these types of guns.
  19. Thank you buddy. To be honest it's baby to some of the stuff iv seen shot in America. But yes I'm very happy with it
  20. Not that bad, only what it costs to by any other top class Daystate, with scope etc. It's under my condition for use as vermin. Fox included.
  21. It's max 50 yards for that sort of game. The yanks shoot fox too, with them For rabbits plus. And Paulus, it's a matter of choice. I'm sure if you saw something you liked you'd work hard to get it....I put my ass on the line every day of the week to buy this. Which is why it's all the more lovely.
  22. Shoot the normal game etc. and I just don't like a .22LR so why not. Why do people buy a Ferrari? It's bloody lovely thing to own I'm going to the states to hunt Coyote with it in the new year.
