Collie whip grey sounds a good bet theres some cracking walkin on my door step and I aslo work nights doing security and I'm able to take the dog with me the sites a partly disused distrabution site where im patroling most the night.the place is surrounded by open fields the place is teaming with rabbit fox pheasant rats and even ground nesting seagulls which the company are paying a pest controller to sort out you wouldn't belive how much quarry I see on there on a nightly basis.
  2. Haven't really thought about ferreting will be using the lamp as regular as I can and yes rabbits will be my main game but there will come a time when I want more than just rabbits

The area where I am is mostly open ground with a few wooded areas sum quite thick will be out night and day and I would always like to progress on to more than just the rabbit so will be looking for a dog with abit of size a collie mix is on the top of my list and would lookin at a bullx type be sensible for a first coursing dog thanks again lads
  4. If you made a few mate I'd be sure to purchase a couple made somthing similar myself but looks no where near the quality of yours I nicked that sort of rope of my old mans sailing boat looks almost identical to the stuff you used but black

Hello people I'm in the stoke on Trent area recently got my own place and I am now settled in and ready for a dog,lived with my parents until now and they allways had a variety of dogs since I was a babe in arms currently own two good loyal springer spaniels who iv spent alot of time with and are well trained more as pets than working but they spend alot of time in the field. I can now have the time space and money to get my own dog a breed I'v always admired the LURCHER hoping to work it plenty of good quarry my jus want some advise on where to look for a good quality pup and any tips you gu
