  1. If you bought it off an auction website then complain. Regardless selling counterfeit products is against the law.
  2. Sadly with a serial like 8888 it's very likely a fake. http://www.leupold.com/resources/counterfeit-warning/ Sorry to bring the bad news. Worst case you can call Leupold after 3pm UK time to confirm. To call them for free use Skype and the 'toll free' number. 1-800-538-7653
  3. Hi all, Just got back online after being away for a few days. I've replied to PMs but spaces are now full for this coming Sunday. We'll next work the dogs in 3-4 weeks so will contact you then to check availability. Thanks again Matt
  4. That boy must have a strong neck to carry that lump! Good on him!
  5. If you can get a fallow for £40 i'll give you £50 for it immediately so you make 25% profit guaranteed! Sound like a deal?
  6. Hi guys, Always looking for a few extra terriers to come out with us when we go ratting, the more the merrier and it's always a good laugh. PM me your details and i can give you a call up next time we go. Matt
  7. Is this water proof? When it's lashing it down i presume it'll leak? Can we wrap it in clingfilm to protect it or will it reduce the volume too much?
  8. I've always used camrosa on my dogs. Great stuff, lasts forever and helps heal small knocks and grazes. http://www.camrosa.co.uk/dogs
  9. BARF diet all the way. I give mine the heart, kidneys and liver from any rabbit i shoot. And if it's not raining a couple of rabbit heads to eat in the garden (no chance is he eating them in the house as he carrys them around for 5 minutes first, i think he's showing off) Also, try and get some sprats from the local fish monger (morrisons sometime do them). They're cheap as chips. Our 10kg terrier gets one every other day. Feed them whole. Enough oils in there and other goodness.
  10. Feed raw WITH bones. Chicken carcass is a good one as it's got plenty for them to crunch on. Another option is raw carrot chunked or strips(like for dipping). They need to crunch it and at the same time cleans their teeth. Cheap as chips, nutritious and all you need to do is give it to them....simples!
  11. That avon and somerset police or gloucestershire? Mine is in with glos
  12. The is no objective writing around the front bell. And the serial is not 8888 or 9999. I have spoke to Leupold and they have confirmed it as genuine. This version of scope does not have emblems on the side or writing around the objective, it's a tactical scope for real world applications so extra bits that can glare are omitted. This is the scope on Leupolds website but with a different reticle(they no longer make the single dot reticle for it): http://www.leupold.com/hunting-shooting/scopes/mark-4-lrt-riflescopes/mark-4-lrt-16x40mm-30mm-m1/
  13. Hi guys, So i've got a 1997 Leupold Mark 4 M1-16x scope in pretty good nick. This thing is build like a tank and feel like i could knock nails in with it....not that i would. That glass is crystal clear and has the 1/8 moa dot. (very thin cross with a single small dot in the middle) It has 140 MOA of elevation adjustment so is perfect for long range shooters due to the 30mm tube. And more importantly, the photos (i have brushed out the serial in the photos): Thanks in advance
  14. ... when you have this crazy aussie instead! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UL38nvuKazM
  15. +1 If he don't eat it it's back in the fridge till the following day.
  16. yeah agreed, slowly get him into it. Start by just giving him chunks of meat. Then the same meat but on chunks of bone. then with fur on then rabbit heads (without sounding gross i think the brain is the most nutritious part?)
  17. I feed chicken carcass to our little terrier. And then when i've got rabbits i freeze them up and give him half at a time. Although what seems to drive him nuts is given him the rabbit heads. Last night he ate 3 of them and was going nuts afterwards. These 8 will last him two weeks...
  18. Hi there, Am looking to gather a few more terriers together for ratting. There's a bit of a problem down a far we work and we're struggling to get enough terriers together to sort them out. Here an offer to anyone new to the sport to join us. It'll be appreciated by us and good fun for you and your dog(s). The farm is away from roads so perfect for new dogs trying to get settled. We usually smoke them out which means loads of fun for the dogs. Please PM me if you're interested in coming along. Matt
  19. My mate picked me up at 9pm and we were there by twenty past. Walked around farm buildings for a bit as need to thin rat population but they just wouldn't sit still so we only managed 2! Decided to sack that off and drive around rest of farm with 4x4 and some lamps. Managed to get 8 bunnies. Really love my S200 with regulator and Leupold 6x42 scope. Holds zero wonderfully, doesn't miss a beat and nice and flat trajectory in 177. Anyway, as we both had work tomorrow we needed to leave by 10:30 to get home in time to keep the wives happy. Here's the results before we quick gutted them. T
  20. Oh, and i forgot to mention, nothing that looks like a military rifle as they look stupid and draw (in my eyes) unwanted attention.
  21. Hi guys, Hopefully my FAC will come back soon at which point I'll be able to get my first real rifle. It'll be used for longer range rabbits than my 177 air rifle can cope with. My 177 S200 will easily group halfinch at 50 yards if there is no wind and i'm doing my job, thus, I really want something with similar quality and accuracy. I have a 2stage trigger on the S200 and it's nice and light, something I'll be looking for in the 22lr rifle. I'm hoping I can go the route of a semiauto like the Ruger 10/22 or the CZ512 but want to be sure the rifle is accurate and not just a tin
  22. Nice, that's sorted it. It was fully wound out so tight against the retaining nut. By turning it inwards, tightening it clockwise, it loosened up and can now lock the swivel function in place. Cheers
  23. So i've got myself a second hand harris bipod. It's marked as 25s. The only thing i can't figure out is what's the bit at the back for. It's shown in the bottom right of this photo: It's on the same axis as the swivel function but it can't seem to twist it either way... is it meant to clamp to prevent the rifle from tilting? Seems to be jammed in place maybe? Thanks
  24. Looks like the stig wins! Mother is a patter dale x jack and the father was a lakeland! And to sum it up this little beauty was only £ from a rescue centre, pre microchipped, a months free insurance, a collar and a lead. To those looking for something different it's worth considering looking down the local rescue. Only issue being a rescue is this little fella is missing a pair of jacobs.
