thanks neil, i totally understand the reluctance to bring a novice out, but with no one in the family working terriers any more ( for quite a few years) i've had to turn to others for help. with out the help and experience i would just be another inexperienced novice giving terrier work a bad name.

wherebouts are u based mate?

Any one in n.ireland working terriers, that has time to spare to show a novice the ropes, have a young russell terrier willing to travel a bit if needed to meet up with someone for a few days out? cheers lads, help greatly appreciated

Hi guys, Just looking to see if anyone can help, in offering some advice or guidance. I have just recently taken ownership of a jack russell pup. I am looking to get him into ratting. Something which a family member done quite a few years ago and I would like to get into. if anyone is in the co.down area that wouldn't mind offering some help or guidance or could point me in the right direction?
