    Just fitted low mounts, looks loads better glad I changed them now... One small problem though, my bloody lens covers don't fit, small price to pay but still gutted.

    Went to Mirfield yesterday, nice set-up but was packed out, I was trying to zero in on the 100yd range and had 6 people waiting behind me to get in my spot, pressure was on for the new boy , £10 for range use and no time limit set, not bad at all. I will be visiting again but avoiding Friday afternoon, spoke with staff and it's £100 for year membership for unlimited range use, not bad but it's a hour drive so not very practical for me. Mattersey rifle club is only 10mins from my house but can't see option for visitors on website and had no response to email, £100 fee + £200 membership

    Just been to collect new scope guy in shop said I'd need medium mounts with nikon being a bit bulky on front end, it's only 3-9x40. Just got home and fitted it and looks a bit high compared to previous set up I had, I prefer them as close to barrel as possible. Do you think id get away with low mounts ? And do you think it's positioned to high ?

    Hi, Would one of you kind gents please advise. One of friends has invited me on his permission, he said I'm ok to use my rifle whilst with him, land has been passed for all calibre's but I'm not happy with going without having permission myself and updating firearms team. This seems a bit dodgy I'm my opinion, any info would be appreciated, where do I stand ?

    I've gone against everything I've said and purchased a shooting stick online, after seeing all the good looking sticks you guy's have made, I couldn't compete , £16.99 for a hawke monopod, cheap, but looks ok. (for the price). Not sure the monopod will be as stable as the bipod but going to try it out, they do BIPOD sticks for £24.99 too. My poor bits of cane won't be happy

    Arrived at one of my permissions this morning to discover grey squirrels running all over the bloody place, I took a few out with the old faithful anchutz .22 but loads escaped up tree's sat laughing at me. Wish I'd if kept the air rifle for situations like this.

    I asked a few several times...only people next door to other permissions in passing though, one finally give in recently but I'd built relationship up over the months and he'd seen me loading car up with bunnies I've got a couple of farms I do work for, but my main permission is a large manor with woodlands and fields surrounding gardens, my other is a quarry, don't just target farms mate plenty of other land out there.     Think I did 3 days a week for 4 month till I secured one.. Weekends and after work, think people just got pis$$d off with me in end haha ?

    Going to give them a call tomorrow mate, I've been waiting for ages so sent a mail yesterday and got reply this morn, they said it got checked last September but nothing was showing on system last time I called.

    Had response from firearms department today, land has only been passed for shotgun and FAC air rifle what a joke.
