Well I'm back to work this afternoon, I've had a brilliant weekend with a few visits to new permission one visit through the night, one early morning.... Oh yes and one on Sunday evening when I escaped while the wife's friend called round. Yesterday morning though I heard some mad sounds which I had no idea what it was, coming from within the woods, I've recorded it on phone so when I go out with my friend on his permission I'm sure he will advise with all his experience. Sure it all comes with experience but was so frustrating not knowing. It was a very aggressive sound when I wal

Which filter reduces the beam the least? I picked up a lenza P7 and white beam is great, 150m+ With the red filter on, it's hard 10 freekin' yards! I only had a quick try last night and need to test the other colours. I picked up a pack of 4 filters (Usual Red/Blue/Green/Yellow). Any thoughts/Experience? I'd like to pick up a red LED for it IF they do them. I've got P7 mate exactly same prob with red filter could only just see past my feet, I tried others in pack and yellow was best for me due to distance. Quality torch though, especially for price.

After a few nights out with new jack pyke jacket and trousers I must say I've never been soaked in my own sweat like this ever before wow is all I can say, is this common with this brand ? Hopefully in the colder weather it will be ok ? or is it due to internal lining in jacket and trousers.

Thanks mate I'm well happy, and yes air rifle only, nice to have it on the door step. They have weddings etc and the rabbits are destroying all the gardens.

Just got back after a meeting with owner and I've just secured my dream permission. 360 acres of gardens at an estate surrounded by woodland, and an old football field, all just 5 minutes drive from my house. The flyer I created has had more interest in 2 weeks than letters and face2face visits over last 6 months, I made initial contact with this permission via email, I also attached a copy of the flyer which I sent to loads of places in desperation. Without the insurance I wouldn't of got through door, but I also sent copies of all my health and safety certificates from work which the owne

Pre Charged Air Rifle Cost Vs Rimfire ??
Tornado1979 replied to Tornado1979's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Thanks for info -
After spending some time out in field the other night with my HW100 FSB .22, the person I was with using a rimfire .22, I must say I was very impressed and with being curious I thought id look at cost of them etc...maybe for in a few year :-) I'm suprised how cheap they are (new) compared to the pre charged air rifles, whats the reason for this ?? I noticed a CZ455 with scopes, mounts, silencer, bipod for £519, I spent over £1200 on set up for HW100 with air tank etc..... confused.

Last night I experienced my first night out on new permission and got my first rabbits with new gun, the lad I went with who is looking at passing his permissions over was brilliant and showed me loads within the 3 hours we were out, letting me take majority of shots. I arrived at 21:30 and wow could not believe my eyes soon as I turned lamp on and checked side of hedge there was 3 or 4 sat approx 30 yards away, I got that excited and rushed shot missing and they all run off, lesson learnt.... I continued further down path and spotted another few under a tree approx 40 yards so got ont

Tornado1979 replied to Tornado1979's topic in General Airgun Discussion
I can't believe this, what's going off this week ?!?! Just had a call from a massive estate / Hall with gardens about 10 mins up road, the manager wants to meet me to discuss permission next week. I emailed my flyer last week to about 50 places. After months of nothing I'm just shocked :-) -

After months of visiting farms, golf courses, quarry's, fisheries, stables etc etc and changing approach several time including letters, business cards, flyers etc etc I had nothing but rejection. None of the above worked, but my wife obviously could see my frustration with plinking in the back garden with my new rifle and decided to take to "Facebook" asking if anyone could help, yes you read that right Facebook haha. To my surprise one if my friends dads has over 8 permissions locally and has been in touch on back of this, he's going to take me with him and wants to see what I'm capa

Wanted Rabbit Hunting Permission South Yorkshire
Tornado1979 replied to Tornado1979's topic in Rabbit Shooting
Like I've been doing for last 6 month, spent all last Saturday knocking on farmers doors visiting golf courses etc like I've done many other weekends, love all the rejection haha Cheers for the advice though, but it's not done no harm posting, seen sone people have had success via this forum though. -
Hi, After some permission for rabbit hunting in the South Yorkshire area, very flexible :-)

I'm looking at getting some equipment for my air rifle which will attach to my scope so I can go lamping on my permission. Could anyone please recommend a good one to start out with?, I've had my eye on the "lenser P7" not very expensive and looks solid, just to let me test it out, but will it be enough? I would be very grateful of any information / advise. Thanks,

Hi All, After doing some random pest control last year for a friend with a rabbit problem with my old springer air rifle, I've just treated myself to a new pre-charged rifle and have been really enjoying my time out in field. I've since got a bit carried away with decoying etc and enjoyed the new challenge, the only problem now is getting a new permission with more land which has proven a very hard task, Saturday I went on my travels to local farms etc but once again I was turned away by all, fingers crossed in future someone will give me permission, but for now my little permission is
