    Good going Mate, I'm putting some solid hours in this week. Do you zero sights everytime you go out ? I only usually do mine once a month (if that), might have to set something up on permission, I usually go to shooting range but it gets expensive.

    I'm same all my permissions are on foot so no need to drive through field, picked Audi up for dirt cheap due to it being a old one, I'd of been happy with any diesel estate anything to get me out.. I had eyes on Peugeot which was on 04 plate but one of lads said Audi lump will run forever so trusted his judgment. Hoping to test it out in morning.

    Ouch !! My permissions are all local and it was still hammering my pocket so an hour drive must cost you a fortune mate, I've spent more time at petrol station than the bloody staff.

    After securing several permissions my 2.4 Petrol car has been costing me a fortune trying to visit them all on a regular basis + limited boot space, this week I decided to look for a cheap runner for my hunting trips and work. I started looking at 4x4 which would be good for hunting but not so good for work, so I decided to look at estates just for the little extra space. I found an old Audi A4 1.9 TDI estate, it got very impressive 65MPG on way home yesterday which is massive improvement on my 20/25 MPG I've been getting out of the 2.4 Petrol.     I had a negative response when I added on wanted section a while back which boiled my **** to be honest due to me already doing everything possible to secure a permission, but I now see why after all work I put in over last few years. I've since secured 4 permissions locally, do your homework and get out there.... Start by getting some insurance and putting some letters together or flyers, then let the fun begin by knocking on doors, be prepared for plenty of rejection I've prob had success rate of 1/30 with full weekends given up trying to get something.     FSB one mate paid £50, screws straight on, was quiet before but it's now silent with the exception of a small puff and sound of pellet flying through air.

    Woke up early this morning so thought I’d have a few hours on each of my permissions, I arrived at first permission which is a farm and stables, and it’s a new permission so I’m still becoming familiar with land. Anyway I started off by climbing into first field and stalking up side of the hedge, and then I noticed about 7 horses which was strange the owner said they only have one horse and would be in stable through night + early mornings so they must rent their land out when we have races on in our town, anyway I continued but the horses were on edge and kept charging off so I moved on i

    i went out with a friend the other night, I'm pretty new to the hunting scene and i've been picking new things up each time I go out, the other night we were on a permission and in one area something stunk so bad....it was really heavy / strong smell, my friend said a fox was in the area and this is what the smell was..... Do they really smell that bad ?? I'm aware they mark area etc but wow that was a strong smell, unless he's telling me porkys

    Lad who I go out with has offered me his full set up mate including safe and he's saving gun until I get my ticket it's a very good price so don't want to miss out, cheers anyway Kev, what's your local ? I've been going all way to Wakefield to rednecks
