  1. Sorry pal mines for first application not open ticket request, but yeah I sent all permissions with application + print off from google maps. One of Lad's I go out with had his open ticket past last year, he was losing too many jobs with delay of land checks etc, went straight through with south Yorkshire.mate. Hope you get it sorted
  2. Thanks for offer mate but I'm after 3-9 x50 and gent at local RFD has put everything aside for me pending collection.
  3. I'm waiting for ticket, was told 6 weeks but have now been told 12 weeks South Yorkshire... From comments above I'll not hold my breath for it before Christmas.
  4. Not paid yet mate, he's saving along with tikka ready for when ticket arrives, done good price so I'm sure it will do me good.
  5. I did think that mate, tried to word it best I could to avoid pissing them off. And the kids will cope I'm sure haha
  6. Well 7 weeks on and still no sign of my beloved ticket... emailed office today to kindly ask for an update so I can let my permissions know incase they sacked me off, but just got a reply saying it was still pending, no other info or suggested time so I'm just going to chill out now and let the magic happen..... Just hope the RFD can hold on to the rifle a little longer
  7. I pay £7 each month direct debit with BASC, no upfront cost.
  8. First time I've noticed mate, usually get from local shop at end of street, wasn't sure if it was linked in with article with them refusing to sell shooting magazines to children, but if other stores in uk stock I must just of been unlucky.
  9. Why don't WHsmith stock "shooting times" ?!?!?! I'm working away this week and went to collect from WHsmith at airport, they had every magazine known to man with the exception of shooting times and any other shooting magazine, you can even get one about bloody trips to space and loads of other s$%t. I've tried service stations + x2 at airports either of them stock it, very strange.
  10. Thanks for info... I've gone for the Redfield Revolution 3-9x50 after checking them both out in the flesh and doing some more research. Just the moderator to sort now
  11. I would go for the HW100 if the choice was these two... I've been using a BSA Ultra last few weeks and can't fault it's performance, I actually preferred it to my HW100 and it cost half the price.
  12. I did read on one of reviews they were made by leupold... So I'm now sat back on fence haha Think I'll go and see them both in flesh and decide next week.
  13. Yeah that's very good info mate thanks, second person to reccomend the Nikon prostaff, looking like the hot favourite ;-)
  14. I've finally narrowed my search down for a scope for new rifle but can't decide which one, can anyone help ?? Which one is the best for the field ? Redfield Revolution 3-9x50 Nikon pro staff 3-9x50 The redfield is approx £20 more so not much in price difference. And I've seen all comments about spending money on scope and change of the rifle but £200-£250 is my budget for the scope.
  15. Tikka offer a number of rifles, nothing wrong with any of them and we all like/want different things, the Super Varmint is all tricked up and in my opinion doesn't know if it wants to be a target rifle or a field rifle, but is working hard to be a target rifle, I'm sure it will shoot straight. If you are happy with the weight then a fine choice. I have never made any secret of the fact that I don't like heavy rifles for field work, and at circa 2lb heavier than the Lite and 1.5lb heavier than the Hunter, the Super Varmint is heavy, I'm a complete tart and after an hour or two in the fi
  16. Ordered rifle last week and RFD called today to let me know it's arrived. I decided to go for Tikka T3 super varmint. Just waiting for ticket to be delivered now, the post man must be getting hacked off with me chasing him up street before work everyday lol.
  17. BSA Ultra Single shot .22, with Tasco scope + Mounts, large filling bottle + gun slip, and tin of pellets see pictures attached. £450 Ono Message me if interested.
  18. I've had .223 / .17HMR + .22 accepted on first application, got told by several id have no chance with .223 ;-)
  19. With picatilly rail do you just need to purchase the rings ? Or rings + base like picture attached ?
  20. Cheers for info mate, worth a look when ticket finally arrives, one of the second hand packages I've been looking at has the Burris scope fitted.
  21. i've just messaged you mate.
  22. I've now narrowed my search down after handling them all and I'm going for tikka laminate but not keen on normal laminate so camo option if any. The other one I really liked was the super varmint, just felt solid, bit of extra weight but with me being a big lad felt good, unlike the others which felt like a toy guns. Not familiar with picatinny rail on the super but looks like you can get decent mounts for good price, what's the advantage / disadvantage with picatinny rail ?? Only other negative with the super varmint is they don't do Burris scope package, this is only in lite mode
