  8. There has been a constant exchange of bloodlines among England, Ireland and America thus the breed is only one: the English Game Fowl which in turn can be English, Irish or American bred. As an instance, the same happens with the Thoroughbred horse which can be English, Irish or American bred but all are bred for the same purpose. Also in Thoroughbred horses (as in any other working breed) there is room for variations over the general ideal points.
  9. Suddenly realised today we had more hounds than we started with, seems we'd bumped into the Cheshires so we kept both packs together and carried on for the rest of the day. Has anyone else experience of packs hunting into each other? Cheers

  14. I was in hunt service for 10 years started as kennelman and over the years whipped in to foxhounds and hunted beagles, its a grand life, the money isn't always great but its a way of life. I have a job with a salary now which is rural based but have to pay a hunt subscription to hunt mounted and also have to pay rent on my estate cottage etc so really its swings and roundabouts I suppose. you can find the MFHA on line you'd be best going for kennelman jobs as you say and then working your way up,if you have some hound experience and you can ride and your fairly easy to horse all the better if
