  3. Have a look in the buy sell paper there's usually some for sale in there throughout the year,if it doesn't go as far as sandbach you can get it from the garage at sandiway i think yis chris
  4. FK If your dogs are clean in their bed go to a charity shop and buy some old blankets they'll last you longer than straw and there's less chance of any mites being in it.If I have to ever use straw I only use oat straw as its softer but its hard to come by in manageable bales.Wheat starw you should be able to get anywhere in the united kingdom you just haven't looked in the right places.I wouldn't use shavings with your springers they'll be feckin everywhere
  5. Why not go for a patterdale cross with a border
  6. They're b*****ds all of them,I expect that took place around 1991-1993 thats when they hit cheshire and surrounding areas bad due to Mike Hill getting bumped, some of the stuff they got up to makes your hair stand on end and no matter how hard you are when there's100-200 of them outside your house wanting to get inside its fecking scary yis chris
  7. Took the dog down to see my landlord this afternoon as he's a vet which is pretty handy and keeps the bills down. After examining her he says the rattling isn't on her lungs which is a relief its in her upper nasal area,he's pretty sure its not a foriegn object cos she's heavy breathing rather than sneezing all the time. She's had anti inflamitry injection and anti biotic she hasn't got a temperature but just to be safe. He's not entirely sure whats causing it but asked if she's had any reaction to rape pollen before as she runs through it walking out everyday?Anyone heard of this before,I know P
  8. I must apologise for Fellman he Wrote I'm begging here for the thread title what he meant to write was I'M BEGGINING HERE! yis chris
  9. you say your bitch was like this last summer,it may be a dehydration problem, with the hot weather.regards collie john. No she didn't have this last summer she had the cough I'm not sure if its pollen or not we've got rucks of rape round here and its in full flower, don't think she'd be dehydrated becuase my cottage is cool inside and there's always water available yis chris
  10. Hi all one of my dogs tonight, the whippet x is sort of rasping, she'll be laid down then stands up all of a sudden and starts, because she wouldnt settle she went a bit wobbly at one point I should think with lack of oxygen like when they're being sick and keep moving.I've had a listen to her chest and I can hear gurgling wether its off her lungs or her throat I'm not too sure, she had the cough last summer but I've worked her since then over the winter...any ideas lads or lasses? yis chris

Excellent post Socks,i've done all quarry although not done the digging on a big scale since I left hunt service, and now as you know I only do rat and rabbit,I've got Tally and a couple of small lurchers and they do me fine.At the end of the day when i've been out I can say I've had a good day and be proud of what I've done.So in answer to your question I don't think it does make any of us a lesser hunter for taking smaller quarry, every dog suits its purpose.I would also say that most of the people who boast about what they've done probably aint done it anyway I think on some sites you can see
  14. yeah they will and f**k up all the wild stock, ignore chilli take it down the vets and get it vasectomised
  15. Did I say your name Moll I said "you people" so now who's taking it personally? If you're not interested in it why join in? - the title of the topic says "Plummer terrier owners" Terriers will be terriers won't they? I spend plenty of time out with my dogs thanks Oh well so Tally (my terrier) had the odd scuffle with a new bitch trying to be dominant in her territory at least I can be safe in the knowledge that when she's working or at a SHOW she won't be latching onto anyones lurcher lmfao now you can scour my posts for anything that can be used in later thread
  16. Move them at night mate they'll never know promise
  17. Hell Rob thats a fair barnet you got there you been using hair restorer lol yis chris
  18. Could be anything mate really not sure where you are and what youve got about I'd start by guessing corvids or squirrels.I usually move my broody's to a more secure area as i've had it before where another hen particularly wants to lay in the same nest box as the broody because thats where she's always laid,in that case eggs get broken during the scuffle and then they eat them, even though there's a perfectly good nest box next door...especially with game, hope this helps yis chris
  19. That can't be right it says he owns a bull x ,a beddy x, and two patterdales :11: :11: :11: yis chris
  20. Sorry to hear your giving it up mate, things must be tough to get rid of your dogs yis chris
  21. I use fairly the same diet as Chilli I should imagine,I feed either beef, lamb, chicken or tripe and liquidise apple, peas, lettuce and tomato as the main veg base and add other seasonal safe stuff 30 % veg 70% meat. When I first started feeding barf I had help from Molly on it and Socks too there's f**k all he doesn't know about nutrition(man and dog) Icouldn't believe how little I had to feed to maintain my dogs and also how little was shit out the other end compared to shop bought foods,so keep at it you aint gonna do them any harm and you'll adjust as you want if they start runnig light adjust

  23.
