  1. Nice video, always a good feeling when you know you have hit something hard, you see it run out of sight then find it stone dead. Had one similar 4wks ago, saw it run over a brow - went to check and follow what I thought would be the doe's least passage of resistance to run and no signs at all anywhere, think a lot of folk would have given up after half an hour looking without a dog but decided to look more up hill behind the brow and found a blood trial that led to the doe being found 40yrds away in rushes - relieved was an understatement and show's one should never give up looking until
  2. As mentioned above I worked closely with Phil Ogden to develop what we believe are the best Roe & Sika sacks in the market place. They may not be the cheapest however true GB quality products rarely are...,conventional market products tend to slip down your back when full so the Monarch product sits higher up the back like a Bergen and is designed to carry heavy weights that are stable when the waist & chest straps are fastened, many other features have been incorporated since conception based on pro field use feedback. Best regards Robert

  10. Signage is a must at the entry and exit points near the intended management area, there should be no problem shooting from the footpath area as long as the public are not inconvenienced in anyway, so common sense prevails.. Rgds

  17. I used to work for Bulldog about 10yrs ago when the were owned by Record Tools and at that time they were no doubt the best product in the market place, although "Carters" & "Cauldwell" came quite closte. At the time they were hand made in Wigan (believe this still the case although now owned by Rollins) and I used to take customers round the factory showing the hand forging & stamping process, along with the bend testing, we also used to make specials for folk but now volumes must be high to develop personall preference due to return on investment. Anyway a great UK brand.
  18. Hi Scudd & thanks for the heads-up. Time will tell and that should be pretty quickly on our stalking ground in S.Aryshire - probably one of the wetest places on the planet!
  19. I have recently purchased Seeland "Eton" trousers which were under £100 and must say up to now I am very happy with these, waterproof, breathable etc. Rob
  20. Get the angle correct first - 25 degrees works best for general use then finish off with the finest stone you have in the kit with slow strokes, should only need about 3 strokes each side, then importantly use an old leather belt as a strop to remove any burring. We have the Gatco models in our product range and these are the same as Lansky, for me personally I find the finish edge from any gritstone kits to be "toothy", which is ok for general rabbit gutting/deer skinning etc, however if you have a decent high price point knife you want to but a surgical edge on it. My favourite sharp
