  1. Right then... LoPro locks ordered in, chose these purely because of there size and with the thinking that they would be versitile towards Fox, Rabbit, Mink ect. Like the idea of having more options really. Got some 'Universal Support Collars' on route, there like a cone shaped spring that you twist onto your support/tealer to hold the snare in place, seen rubber tubing (surgical) used before on Fox Snares but these are metal and I think they will stand the test of time and not fail. Swivels too, seen the write up for making your own by G.S.Waters and I am keen to have a go in the future bu
  2. Had a few rabbit snares set to a fence using cable ties onto a swivel, used to tie with a knot when using brass wires but moving more towards this method now, ideal when wearing gloves, there light, easy to replace. Quick and easy eh
  3. Looking good, how are you securing your snares? Maybe take a few pictures of the set up next time your out? Keep at it, Venum
  4. Like Highgate, some good dogs too, shame we have to drive back or we would hang around longer for the crack and get shiters Havent heard of it getting sabotaged though, dosnt sound good...? Keep smiling, Venum
  5. Exactly that Eddie B, my thinking is if you put your hand in your pocket and then look after your kit your on for a winner in the long run. All on for re-use of the locks, swivels, support collars, washers ect ;D Initially fox wires, but I suppose you could use a smaller gauge for smaller game :/
  6. Rahaha, had many requests for a sample yet...
  7. True, had eyes on there crimp for 13 pound, haven't asked about delivery cost yet... Is it the best place to be looking? Looked state side, spoilt for choice! Shame about the cost of shipping it over. I don't know the first thing about wire rope, ferrules, ect either. Sure this is going to be a learning curve, am determined though
