  1. My TX200 MkIII .177 shoots: Accupells 7.9gr at 782fps Crossman Premier 7.9gr at 774fps (tight fit) JSB Exact Express 7.9gr at 786fps However, it shoots: AA Diablo Field 8.4gr at 812fps JSB Exact 8.4gr at 819fps Edgun 8.4gr at 817fps Strange, as I would've expected it to shoot a higher velocity with the lighter pellets.
  2. I think Si was referring specifically to the SFS tuned HW98 in this case. You chaps are lucky to have such a talented tuner on your doorstep, so to speak. By the sound of it there can't be too many in the world with the tuning skills of Tony Wall.
  3. Another thumbs up for the Hawke SW Tac 30 scopes. I have one in 4.5-14x42. Beautiful and clear, superbly fine, sharp mildot reticle. Great dusk performance too and only marginally behind my Leupold V3 6.5-20x40 EFR at dusk and the Leupy cost twice as much.
  4. You'd make a very successful salesman Zini. You've convinced me I must have a SFS tuned HW98 at all costs. Edit: Hope SFS does exports.
  5. I wonder if SFS will export one of his tuned HW98's to New Zealand. I suppose I'd better e-mail Tony and ask. I've shot a standard FAC HW98 and it was very accurate but twangy.
  6. If the oil on the safety doesn't work then the trigger needs adjusting.
  7. TX200 MKIII .177 with Vortek PG2 FT kit installed. Runs about 14 ft/lbs and shoots beautifully. Great for rabbit hunting.
  8. Thats one of the nicest tx iv ever seen atvbmac  Thanks bigmac. Shoots like an Olympic 10m rifle too.
  9. A cardboard box 6" in depth by about 15" square filled with folded newspapers. 5,000 shots from a FAC .177 at 10m and not one pellet has ever made it through to the back of the box. If shooting outside I would have at least a 3' square of carpet behind the box on the fence and have a ledge to rest the box on so I could put it away when finished shooting.
  10. Try the JSB Express Exact 7.9g as suggested by Davy. Shoots very well in most TX200's. The Accupell's really suits some TX's and not others. A superb pellet is the EDgun 8.4g, which is a selected JSB Exact; I don't think they're available in the UK though.
  11. What works in one rifle won't necessarily work in another. The new batch off AA Fields that I just received from B.A.R. shoot only average in my TX200. JSB Express and more so, Accupells are a lot more accurate. You just have to try as many as you can until you find 'the one'. Didn't notice any damage to the AA's even though one of the tins had a dent on one edge (the tin I used). Very well wrapped so the dent was there when it left B.A.R. Not impressed, as they know I'm hardly going to send them back from where I live. They also refuse to deduct V.A.T. for export, claiming it's too much p
  12. None. I reinstalled my OEM piston seal.
