I think its the fact nan pat says todays dogs are inferior to yesteryears, he must've only seen poor examples of black dogs, just like some people have only seen poor examples of white dogs. ime on about the size of them.some i seen were to big you be lucky spanning their heads never mind their chests.

It's amazing how any Irish man who was digging years ago you speak too had a small Jack Russell years ago that would have put ANY Fell terrier to shame with it's legendary ability to stay all day on the hardest of Foxes and Badgers. are oul war medals making any money,we were in an oul abondoned farm the day out hunting..just haveing a rummage about as you do.ole cogger who used to live there must have done a bit,old biscuit tin full of medals,ioads of old framed pics battle scenes,old pics of soldiers n that..just left them there was wondering are they any good.
