It might be a good idea to get out with lads who have running dogs, and learn all you can from them. Take your time, and see if it's for you.     Great,Not seen Tommy for 25yrs. Used to work with him when I was a young fella. Had some good lectures off him, and bollockings :-). I regret not learning more off him, to into drinking, and having a good time. Always remember seeing the last hound at Dallam, and his Borders + what seemed like an enormous big black lurcher he had.     Lovely wee pup mate. I use a Border terrier for ferreting, also a Collie. I used a collie for 10 yrs, just lost her Christmas day. Her son is just as good though. The terrier is a good all rounder. Atb
