I have the wooden KT and it feels like it absorbs the recoil better than the synthetic stock on a .177. I have heard a few people say that they have used stock weights on the black models to balance it out..
thanks to Si and Davy I have a 97kt sfs s2, an s400 and shoot most weekends, a 98 may well be next. I love the instructional videos that teaches the technical side of airgun shooting, no one else seems to share this knowledge, a DVD is a must!
so thank you gents I owe you a pint...
mine wouldn't read until i finely adjusted it so it lined up properly with the bore of the barrel, you need to set up the pellet weight before you shoot through it.
try putting a straw through the chrono, it should come to life, then just line it up correctly
for ft that shoots between 8-55 yards, a 35yd zero is kinda halfway and therefore at 55yds is one revolution of my elevation turret, for hft I use the same zero point
I asked Tony about him tuning my sirocco trigger and he said there was nothing to be done, I didn't ask about a full tune as the gas ram is a sealed unit, let me know if you manage to speak with Tony
I have the mamba lite 4-16x44 and panorama 4-12 x40 ao ir, I prefer the ret on the mamba, build quality and optics, think I paid 160 for it.
the panorama is clear, 130 quid and the EV is great, if I needed another scope I would buy another mtc
so I had the 97 KT or not KT, tx or txhc, 95 or 98.
in the end I went for the 97kt which is now with sfs for a s2.
didn't like the tx due to the loading port, the hw97kt has better lines.
I would like a 98 for all the reasons you mention, so go with your original choice.....
