    Have you ever tried to catch a rabbit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Sick or wounded animals are far easier to catch, foxes like anyother wild animal have to wiegh up the pros and cons effort v reward. I know thats a very simple way to put it but its the quickest way i can think of. I am not saying they dont take healthy rabbits cos i know they do i have seen it, but a healthy rabbit it not a large part of a foxes diet, they mainly eat worms, frogs,grubs and stuff like that and of coarse chickens but healthy rabbits are a bit of a challenge.     Buy what you want your free to do so, have a look at southern guns i think they are the market leader for that sort of thing in this country, or but a couple of 10 shot mags for the cz

    Hey lads dont you think you are all getting a bit carried away, this is an internet chat forum, and should be treated with a pinch of salt, your right some people come on just to wind others up, i did it myself the other day, and even when i let on i was messing a couple of knobs still carried on. you see the thing is that in here you only get abuse from chaps that wouldnt have the balls to do it to your face. but in general most are ok. Charlie caller your ok, i have enjoyed a bit of banter with you over the last few days, its not personal just brightens up a boring day at work!!!!!

    you could be right, but i would have thought that the previous shots would have cleared fouling, but i have seen it in an 81mm mortor round which failed to drop to the firing pin. i was always under the impression that 22 was the dirtiest ammo out there but i have never heard of bullets getting stuck, but although i have had some truly awful 22 ammo, the stories i hear about 17 ammo is that its common place to have split necks and hang fires.

    How else would it be possible to get a bullet lodged in the barrel? Genuine question coming from a newbie to firearms..... Good Question, in honesty there are all sorts of varients that could cause a bullet to become lodged in the barrel but it is uncommon. if the powder fails to ignite properly for some reason which i think would be the most common cause, bearing in mind this is a little 17 round it wouldnt take much to push it out, but i dont think a primer alone could do the job, you also have to bear in mind that anything below a half charge would possibly create more pressure th

    I think Charlie caller is right, although i have not noticed a decline in fox numbers, Rabbits are down on what they have been. Mostly foxes dont eat healthy rabbits anyway so i doubt if there would be any corelation in rabbit numbers and fox population. but i have noticed over the years that breeding has cycles of good and bad. this used to be countered by fox hunting pushing the population around and keeping them spread out but since the ban this effect is no longer noticable. as for an open season, well as soon as the cubs leave the den they are in season!!!!!

    I cant comment on the chap from the stalking directory as i have no idea what happend to him. but i do still have the same opinion on this case the guy said at the begining of this that he heard a click then a while later the round discharged, there was nothing in there to suggest that the round had not fired at full pressure.     Just had a real bezzer of an idea Charlie caller, we can prove this one way or another. why dont you pop down the garden wedge a round in your barrel then try and clear it by firing another one one!!!

    Yeah me mum did it for me. Seriously your wrong about the mod thing. and i think Ducan was right its impossible next your be telling me you can shoot a fox with a 308 further out than 150yrds. your all dreamers.
