  1. Hi All I misplaced my Logun charger, so bought a new universal charger of the same spec. Just connected it to charge the battery and the battery fuse got really hot and blew. Fitted the spare fuse, but it got hot straight away so turned it off quickly. Charger is a 500ma 7.5v(switchable to other voltages aswell) Could the poles be opposite? If I connect it the opposite way around will I be in a whole world of fire, flames and pain!?! Cheers Mark
  2. If you look at this tutorial from Simon Whitehead at 2 mins 30 secs he says what works with what
  3. Thanks dogger for the hob, great setup you've got and cracking dogs! All the best.
  4. Hi Dogger If you've still got your hob kit, i'd be more than happy to have it. Where abouts in Fife are you. Cheers
  5. i read a good article the other day written by martin holllinstead using ferrets hawks and a dog. the dog of his choice is a border collie. well worth a read. type in google martin hollinstead hawks ferrets and dogs see what you think Thanks darbo I read this a while back but have never liked border collies that much. I love the athletic look of the whippet x's and lurchers, very sleek dogs!
  6. This thread is great!!! I've not be ferreting for long and have been thinking of getting a dog, but my harris hawk is not great around them. We have bred bulldogs (yes, couch potatoes with no purpose!) for a number of years now and I thought we did a lot of research before deciding on correct breeding. But you guys seem to really know your stuff and have been trying out various crosses to get the best type for the job. Well done!! Hopefully I could teach my harris to get on with a dog.
  7. Thanks for your offer. That's a shame as we were down by Castle Douglas just 2 weeks ago getting a puppy! Cheers
  8. Hobble: A castrated/neutered ferret (ie. the testicles have been surgically removed) Hoblet: A vasectomised ferret (i.e. the tube transporting sperm from the testicles to the penis has been surgically cut. Willing and able to mate but will be infertile, hence no unwanted litters of kits)
  9. Yep, I'm after a vasectamy hob. Sorry, for the confusion.
  10. Hello Can anyone help that has a hoblet. Willing to travel and leave her with you if required. Thanks in advance Mark.
  11. I'd be interested in having a couple of the jills off you if you have any going spare to join my 2 year old jill. All the best with the kits. Mark
