The Gun You'll Never Sell - The Keeper
EVO HUNTSMAN replied to PeskyWabbits's topic in General Airgun Discussion
you,ll hate me but would not get shut of this yep its never let me down and has never had a leak its my Huntsman classic .22 -
have to say , Carl at Airtech has done a superb job of 3 of my buddies BSA Ultra,s . he is very methodical about his work and all I can say is its a shame BSA don't take a leaf out of his book, The rifles shoot as well as any other when you get them back and the results over the chrono are very impressive the only downside I found with carl is getting hold of him as he is a very busy man,

its the oslon black , I just put the head on the 501b because it was just sitting there, its not adjustable like the T20 but is perfect for ratting with my home build
-
hi dave sorry for the delay bud, ludicrous lumons sell them pre built, I did have a spare one new but used it last week to build one of the lads one, the T20 with the doubler lens will certainly improve your distance and is great for rimfire ranges , what you are basically doing by putting a larger aspheric lens on is gathering all the light together from the led and sending it all out in a much tighter spot thus increasing the light into one area
-
dave, buy a t20 mate and fit a 66mm crelant head on it, its lighter and will out perform the above mentioned have a look at the picture below, the T20 with the 66mm crelant is the bottom torch, the the middle torch is a 501b with T20 head and the 501b is the top torch, the top two torches are more than enough for air rifle ranges and the 66mm crelant will outshine centre fire ranges
-
my apologies I thought you ment the torch,, I have found the best thing to use is the window tint you put on cars and 50%, certainly cuts any glare down but doesn,t effect the picture on the screen
-
They not bad if you dont use more ir than you need and stick some of the green filter on can I ask WHY ? green,,,, never had any luck with green filters or torches, I have always found red best without a doubt
-
not a problem at all, if you are worried about glare then just get some 50% window tint and cover the screen with that, it takes any glare off the screen at all, I have tried all colours and the 50% is the best too use, To be honest I,ve not had a problem with the glare of the screen usually because I have a 2.5 inch lcd / recorder on top of the screen for recording purposes

save a fortune and build your own, heres my Evo20

England The Game Fair Resurrected!
EVO HUNTSMAN replied to wyeman's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
in my eyes Ian Hartford has destroyed the game fairs with his greed, the cost of having a stall has rocketed, its no wonder all the small buisnesses are not attending anymore, but in saying that,,,how else would he pay for his hunting trips around the world, shame really as I always enjoyed the midland, but even that has gone rubish -
hi guys and gals, finally back on after a long break, its good to be back and looking forward to joining in the topics atb EH

New Pcp Owner In Somerset With A Question
EVO HUNTSMAN replied to Shaunh's topic in General Airgun Discussion
sounds like you have a seal problem, get all the seals replaced and it should be job done, or fill it to 190 and leave it overnight and see if the pressure has dropped -
correct me if i,m wrong but i know you need a licence to shoot cormo,s (i have one to shoot 5 birds per year,,JOKE,,)but i certainly didn,t know you could get a licence for herons,,i,ve not heard that one before ???
-
huntsman classic is my first choice without a doubt, the hw80 i had was a beauty and accurate , then the s410 which was an eyeopener and now the huntsman, a dream to shoot and carry round in the field all day accurate as hell but heaven to shoot
-
i cant agree more with Pianoman, well said my friend, i use my air rifle at least 5 days a week , 3 of these day are out in the field on targets and two of them at least are on live quarry, yes granted with a springer you can have fantastic groups at 50 yrds and yes you can make clean kills at the same distance and over but it is just my personal preferance not to shoot live quarry at these distances, what is my reason for this ?? its because at those sorts of distances there is more room for error what with wind etc. i like to be as sure as i can at hitting the target exactly where i

using a sony bullet camera bud with the 940ir
-
sorry guys if my post upset you all but thats just my personel opinion,i do not try to shoot live quarry any further than 40yrds but thats me and the way i do it,,some of us have respect for the quarry we shoot but as said thats just the way i do it,, also dont understand what the childish rants are for ??? listening to some of the daft comments aimed at myself,,is it any wonder air rifle owners get a bad name, as said i never said anything could not be done , its just i dont do it and certainly not with a springer
-
quite fat,, one was a female and 1 was male so very happy
-
cheers will, still popping away at them mate, 124 now and they still keep coming lol anyway keeps me happy, have you been back out with the ferrets ???
-
had a walk round my perm this morning and whilst sitting under a tree on the edge of the woods managed to bag these two at around 35 to 40 yrds , safe to say i walked back to the car with a smile on my face
-
nice shooting mate, nice to see the bunny,s out and about,i,ve had mixi on one of my perms but have noticed an increase in them so far this year,so will be out next week after them
-
got to be honest but i seem to get more clean kills from chest shots where woodpigeons are concerned, as for corvids they are a very tough bird
-
keep em coming buddy , well done
