  1. Nice haul bell. One of the most underrated fish.
  2. Firstly, I wouldn't look to the Fieldsports channel as a reliable source of information on Shooting in the UK. For me it would be like saying I watched the dukes of hazzard and all Americans drive around in orange dodge chargers. It seems to me though that all our rifles and shotguns are a lot more expensive over here, for fullbore rifle's £600 is the cheap end of the spectrum, and really the sky is the limit after that. Tikka would be a good popular brand, coming in at £1000 to £1500 ish depending on what you want. Then you could spend any figure on a custom rifle, 10's of t
  3. Pity. His contributions were often valuable. Hope he comes back soon.
  4. I'll go ome better mate. Send me £100 and i'll go fishing for you. I'll consider cooking and eating what I catch for and extra £20.
  5. It's a good shot but with a flight time of 10 seconds it's surely down to luck as well. Plus his range estimation would need to be spot on, and windage. I bet it wasn't the first shot.
  6. The only thing they add is your skill with a needle patching the thin skinned little fukcers up ....... Not a fan?
  7. Fuuuuck me. I hadn't heard of lenny McLean until I came on here. That film looks fuxking awful though.
  8. Foxdropper is on the money. Trail cam if you want to see for yourself.
  9. Yes, that would be a pain. R. I should have said when I saw the pics, good work on the foxes BTW.
  10. Interesting, it's lucky that you only have a vertical change in POI, mine shoots high and right, holding low and left is fine but obviously the further you get the windage increases as well as the holdover decrease.
  11. What STIFFMEISTER said is pretty much on point. Bridgedales are great but hellish expensive. I tried some army surplus wool socks, they were alright and cheap. Actually I still have a few going strong now so they can't be bad. Not as warm as the thicker Bridgedales obviously but if you saved your thickest socks for the coldest weather you'd be alright. Can't get on with the sealskinz socks, feels like i've got my feet wrapped up in a freezer bag, just uncomfortable and plasticky. I'd rather have half a day of wet feet than a whole say with sealskinz socks on. Anyway, if you
  12. If we stop at the inlaws all they ever do is watch TV. It's on all the time in the background, they are suckers for all that shite like the voice and x factor. Boils my piss. Has anyone seen MeatEater on Netflix?
  13. I doubt it would be illegal, especially in tidal waters.but I can't see it working here like it does over there...
  14. Just to second what has already been said. Don't buy anything ridgeline unkess you enjoy slowly bathing in your own sweat. Utterly f***ing useless shite. Cold when you need it to be warm, and somebow you still end up all wet on the inside from condensation, and then they are somebow magically hot as f**k when you want them to be cold. Save your money, buy a roll of heavy duty bin liners. Just as waterproof, just as breathable.
  15. How have you got on? Carrion Crows? Rooks? Jackdaws or a mixture of the three? It's too far to come up for me I am afraid but have you considered trapping? Larsen and ladder?
  16. You and your thread have not offended. In fact it's quite informative.
  17. Not a very sportsman like manner of a replyFeltwad I don't know how much I care? Seen that sort of shit a few times on here. It wears thin.
  18. Yeah, I have two, one is fine, one is very fine. They do give me some bloody good results, they seem softer than my oilstone though so they wear quicker
