  1. Do you boys get much trouble with your gaiters riding up? I normally cut the under fastening off as soon as I get them. Never causes any problems. I use the ex army canvas gaiters. Very hard wearing.
  2. Patterdales, well all terriers I suppose are far more versatile than people give them credit for. As long as you can deal with, and focus their high prey drive. No reason why a Patterdale shouldn't make an excellent dog for ferreting.
  3. Mine was a f****r for this. Positive reinforcement helped. So really really really making a fuss of him when he finally comes back, ignore him when he doesn't, walk away and hide. Takes some patience and persistence and a hell of a lot of time.
  4. It doesn't matter though does it? Coursing Hares is against the law and nobody on this site does it any more, day or night.
  5. Grey mullet on the barbecue.
  6. I saw the video of this on the news. Made me f***ing sick. I'd like to take that c**t into a locked room and see if he treated me like that.
  7. I don't really understand the problem here. Animals in Zoos are basically livestock. They cost the zoo money to keep which is regained by paying members of the public. At the same time, just like sheep or cows they are bred, not for food but so, should they be needed they can support the wild population. Breeding is just as important in this situation. How many dairy calfs are slaughtered in this country because they were born male? How is this any different? The meat didn't go to waste and the carcass was used to educate children... How brilliant is that? My only prob
  8. f***ing wanking f***ing b*****d shit f**k hell. Another place I will never shop in again.
  9. My mother has just been given a chocolate patterdale pup by a family friend who only wanted black dogs, smart looking little fella. Stupid name though, she's called him cocoa.
  10. Wow. That's a cracker. Really captured the "character" in his facial expression. She should be proud.
  11. Around here the cnuts that come coursing without any permission are the same little sh1ts driving 4x4's through crops, stealing diesel, metal, machinery, anything that isn't nailed down. These ar5eholes ruin the image of the boys that just want a bit of sport, and have the quarry's interests at heart as no quarry = no sport. My boss has us flat out shooting Hares and Deer so there are none on the place in the hope that these scumbags will take their theiving mits elsewhere.
  12. Interesting video. I don't really think it was that much of a victory for the home owner though, surely more like delaying the inevitable. It was brilliant to see those bailiff tossers taken down a peg or two, totally unprofessional. Surely if you were going to do a job like that you would know the letter of the law and follow it.
  13. Did you take a photo? What cut was it? If it was shoulder or haunch in May well have just been a gland.
  14. When I was about 12 or 13 I was shooting clay pigeons that my mate was throwing with a Barnet diablo catty, I had hit 2 out of 15 as on the 16th I drew back and... Thwack hit my hand, I reckon I was swinging the catapult but not the hand with the pouch in. I was using a piece of Flint which broke my metacarpal, (I think that's the one) and mashed the knuckle on my trigger finger, thinking I would have a bollocking from my old man I tried to force the joint back into shape by whacking it on the edge of my mums kitchen table. This did not help. It was rapidly swelling so I wrapped it up rea
  15. I think that you are right that It has been broken or dislocated at the joint and then set in the wrong position, perhaps he has been hung up in a stock fence or something.
  16. It's illegal to use an electric call to bring any bird in to shoot. It contravenes the wildlife and countryside act.
  17. Wanking with a bag on my head tied to a door. That bloke from INXS he knew the score.
  18. We had some old railway line, but any heavy duty steel will do, about 4 foot long, top cut at an angle buried in the hedge but sticking up at about sump height. Ooh that's a quick way of bringing a vehicle to a sudden stop and it's bloody hard to see in amongst grass or a hedge.
