  1. I said that to my wife last night.
  2. The other thing I find f***ing disgusting is the way quota is bought and sold, traded like a commodity by people like Manchester united and Chelsea football clubs. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-13682451 How is a family man who runs an under 10M inshore vessel meant to compete with that? Amongst all of the other shit our inshore fleet has to deal with. We aren't talking big business. I mean a man whose catches are sold to put food on his family's table. When the EU referendum comes I will be voting to leave the EU based solely on what I see to be utter injustices in our fis
  3. Its a very fine line that needs to be drawn. I totally agree with your post, the impact of pleasure anglers on any fish stock is surely minimal by comparison to the impact of commercial fishing. I would have thought a bag limit might be more appropriate than a total ban? Although likely unenforceable. Unfortunately our fishing industry in general is in need of total reform, and no knee jerk quotas that big business can dodge while small, inshore fishermen are left with the sting. The coastal under 10M fleet has been hit so hard by quota and law aimed at larger vessels. It used to really
  4. One thing that I cant see has been mentioned, but I apologise if it has. When you remove the old oil filter make sure the rubber seal comes off with it otherwise when you put the new one on it wont seal properly. Also before you put the new one one rub a small smear of oil around the rubber seal to help it seal when you screw it on.

  6. Its not a bad idea to have a spare sump plug. Sometimes people wind them up so tight its like they thought it holds the engine together, being as it is generally awkward under the car you sometimes find you'll round the nut off, or even shear the socket.
  7. Furry muff. Just wondering. Like I said I hope the recovery is quick.
  8. Oof. Hope your dog heals up well mate. Wouldn't wish that on anybody. Out of interest, are there any Muntjac in the area? Its probably not in this case as its in an odd place as usually it's a cross the flank or haunch but I have seen a couple of dogs cut like that by Muntjac bucks before.
  9. f***ing right! I'd chew my own arms off just to eat my dinner off Katy Perry's bumhole, that tossbag was married to her and then divorced her.
  10. Been on a few. Actually only stuck with this one. I tend to tire of them quit quickly as the discussions seem to repeat themselves but this one has enough diversity that there is always something I am interested in reading.
  11. Having slaughtered hundreds of thousands of pigs over the years I do feel that I am qualified to answer this question. If pigs are allowed to get stressed it can cause all sorts of problems such as P.S.E. and blood splash. P.S.E. is where the stress makes the pig use up the glycogen in the blood going round the body, and when that has all gone then it uses up the glycogen from the liver and then the main muscles ie. the Hams and Loins and what happens to the meat has to be seen to be believed as it goes almost white and as hard as hell,it would be impossible to cook and eat. P.S.E. stands for
  12. As others have said. He was spinning you a yarn. I have heard this said about domestic pigs, if they are stressed before slaughter it affects the quality of the meat, I am sceptical but do any other members' know if there is any truth in this?
  13. Unfortunately for me I have been able to do that since my teens, Christ knows how low they will be hanging by the time I am 60!! P.s. This isn't boasting, I've got a tiny penis, just really low hanging spuds. Like two golf balls in a hikers sock. bit to much info mate ð Think yourself lucky... I considered posting a photo.
  14. Amazing. This may be a silly question but is it better to work green wood or seasoned? I have some yew that is standing dead because of bark stripping, may be 10 years old. It is seasoned and as hard as iron. I turn bowls out of it so its very stable.

  16. Awesome!! I was thinking I'd experiment with something like Hazel before I started chopping away at my piece of Yew, are there any books or guides you can recommend?
  17. Love the bows. Is the process hard? I have a good supply of yew, in particular I have found a lovely, long, straight knot free piece about 7 inches in diameter for a good 6 foot. Really want to try to make a bow out of it. Does it sound feasible?
  18. I knew an old boy that bloody loved them, used to eat them raw. He lived into his late 90's too so maybe they are good for you.
  19. I have noticed in the last little while I am definitely more attracted to the older lady now. Either that or I am less fussy (or more desperate) with age. Also I found my first grey pube the other day. Shed a tear over that one.
