The man's a prize prick. Such a shame because I really like Queen. I feel guilty for listening to them. I read somewhere that Roger Taylor is a shooter, not sure of that's true but I bet it makes an interesting conversation at band reunions if it is.

Why didn't I think of that?

Another tip. Put your boxes up in pairs. Not right next to each other, but nearby. One for the female and one for the male.

I have owned 3 Patterdale terriers but have never "worked" them in the traditional sense of the word. I use them for deer dogs and occasional ratting. And, quite frankly I bloody love the breed. So, given that I am no authority on their training or working etc but I always play pulling games with them, with rope or even better deer skin (training them to track deer.) I have never thought that I is having a negative effect, in fact I am happy to be told I am talking bullshit by a more experienced terrier man but I am convinced that rough play does them good, strengthens the bond betwe

Awesome! In that case I'd apply for a .375 H&H mag. That should have enough stopping power for those pesky foxes. -
Neutering A Male Gun Dog
Hydropotesinermis replied to fabiomilitello's topic in Gundogs & Retrievers
many people say it calms the dog down, makes their recall better, stops them from running after bitches in heat during walks in the park. Edit: Forgot to mention it stops spraying as well, which many people find disgusting. My dogs have all been house dogs, labs, Patterdale terriers, spaniels and more recently wire haired pointers. None of them have been chopped and I have never had any real problems with any of those issues. Spraying is no worse than them having a piss. House train your dog. Recall. Train your dog. Calms the dog down... Train your dog. You can see -

Never had a dog castrated. Never will. Certainly not a Labrador, there really is no need. -

Personally I would apply for the calibre YOU want. Not what you think the police will grant. As long as you can display good reason they shouldn't quibble. That said you can put your application in and when it comes to your chat with the firearms officer you can always barter and end up with a .223 if that makes them more happy and gets you a rifle. -
Impressive detail.

Haha. Tosser. -
Don't put nails in the tree ffs. Have a look at a folding high seat. Bushwear sell them. or I suppose a telescopic ladder would do if you could get up it safely and get a sturdy rest but it wouldn't be ideal.

I'm not buying, not close enough, may be handy to know the size of the sheets though? Are they 8x4 foot?

Cheers Walshie. -
Whatever they use them for if my dogs ever got stolen and I caught the scum that did it I would personally make sure that they suffered a grievous physical discourtesy.

Difficult one. I have had a similar situation to Socks although I wasn't in the vehicle I was nearby. I had parked up on an admittedly sunny but not too hot day under a big Ash tree, at about 07:30AM because I wanted to get my cutting done before it got too hot. The place was nice and shadey but a small walk from where I was working. I was nearby cutting with a chainsaw, maybe an hours job. My van is adapted so the dogs have a wire cage, I can roll the windows down fully and the dogs can't get out and people can't get in. The floor of the dog box is sealed so they had a f

My .308 and .25-06 are conditioned deer, zeroing and any other legal quarry. So that would cover fox I would have thought? Not sure wether they would grant .308 for fox as the main, first or sole use mind you. -
I get pilloried for hating 'Imagine', so I'm glad its not just me !He was a right sanctimonious cnut! I want to jump on the "I f***ing hate imagine" bandwagon and add any other song by the Beatles while they were the Beatles or any ex Beatles from then until present day. f***ing overrated toss!Agreed, and I'd also include Elton John in that category.......and who the f@ck told David Bowie he can sing ? I am not an Elton John fan either but I wouldn't say it to his face.

You are right, he is wrong. Sounds like the man's a bell. Just smile and nod politely. -
I used to get really pissed off with cyclists, and took the opinion of many of the posters on this thread. Since I was about 20 I have tried to try out a new spot every year, it hasn't always worked out like that as it is f***ing expensive (although you can usually sell old gear to buy new.) The first sport I tried was cycling, myself and 5 other blokes decided to give ourselves a year of training and then cycle lands end, john o groats. All I can say is before you criticise walk a mile in another mans shoes or whatever, for every tosser on a bike there is a tosser in a car.

The ridgeline stuff is okay, seems to last well, I have the original monsoon smock which has done me three seasons now - for the price that ain't bad. Having said that it is like a magic sweat tent. I have never known a coat that makes me sweat any more than that horrible thing. That's probably why it has lasted so long... I avoid wearing it.
