    Watched a mate of mine pull a jackdaw out of the air when we were about 12 or 13, a lovely crosser i'd have been happy with with my 12 bore today. He never repeated it though.

    Some common sense ideas there. I can't helo but think if the government plowed some money into farmed bass it may drive the price down make it a less viable commercial catch?

    While to say fly would be a stretch we reared Partridges from eggs a few years back and about a week old a handful got out of the brooder, the shed brooder is in is a agricultural shed 60X30 and would guess 25 foot high and they went halfway across it and up to the trusses and landed on them. b*****ds to catch as well, would def say too early for a brood start of feb though. Yeah fair point.

    When it comes to breeding partridges, like all birds are governed by day length. The RSPB lady was talking out her arse. The only way you will get partridges to lay this early is to catch them up, put them in sheds and artificially extend the length of their days using lights.

    You've hit the nail on the head there. Stocks here or certainly where I fish have been stable for as long as I can remember. Anything to do with fisheries is a f***ing shower of shit, even more so where Europe are involved. The sooner we leave the EU and the Navy start patrolling our waters and torpedoing any Spanish or French vessel that strays too close the better.

    Second on the mossberg pump. I bought one with a silenced barrel and then bought a normal barrel after. Surprisingly very pointable shotgun with the silenced barrel on and with the normal barrel it's an awesome bit of kit. Also, typically for mossbergs, it's easy to take the action apart and clean.

    I can work in both but much prefer imperial as I find it more natural. Probably because when I used to give measurements to dad in mm for example he'd always reply... "fucks sake, can I have that in REAL money."

    I have seen a couple of sea eagles in Suffolk as a kid. Maybe 25 years ago.
