It wouldn't necessarily need to be someone with a great knowledge of wildkife as long as he had a good support team writing his lines.     Hmmmm, at risk of speaking ill of the dead I don't imagine he greeted the police with "Hello chaps fancy coming in for a cup of tea?" I heard on the radii he was claiming to be the messiah? I would wait to hear the full story, like anything before I passed judgement on the police or the footballer r.i.p. Also I never believe anything in the press.

    I had a friend who worked a border years and years ago, according to him every bit as useful as his patterdales which he has had and did have a few. Come to think if it he had another that was a cracking worker but it was one of the hardest dogs I have ever seen, you couldn't go near it for fear of losing your hands. He could work it and only him. I think like most dogs if you find the right stock the potential is there Something I am more familiar with, the Labrador. Look at the change in that breed over the last 10 or 15 years, if you aren't careful you can get some real shite.

    If it's oak you are better off leaving it milled at 2 inch rather than 1.5, Oak can warp like f**k as it dries, the extra half inch should give you sone leeway when you come to plane it. I

    Drop boxes need to be positioned in a fence line to work. When set on pre bait they allow passage through the fence. Live catch cage traps could work, may not be so effective this time of year as there is lots of natural food about. If you can snare I would do that. If you have never done it before get an old boy to show you how. It's an art.

    The ingested particle is certainly more deadly pal, but you will agree that you still would want a fair bit of distance between you and a big gamma source......that will be doing massive damage (although in an ever decreasing area) to everything around it. Basically, you wouldn't want a pin head size gamma source on the end of your cock as a wart.......so "straightforward" is all a matter of perspective !!
