  1. In wales a child can fall over and anyone will pick them up...in england the men wont even look at the child or help because they're scared people will say something..... I've not even moved in to our village yet but I know more people that i do after 13 years here Oh f**k off! Wales is no better or worse than England. Some places in Wales are dodgy just like some places in England. I have never felt intimidated anywhere in the UK and I know the people I live around. Over dramatisation.
  2. I like hogget, stronger flavour than lamb but not too tough. You can't beat a good mutton stew though.
  3. All my fixed spool reels are Mitchel. My grandfather gave me his old one and the rod that went with it when I was a nipper and I still fish with it today, I bet it's 60 or 70 years old, maybe more. I have a smaller one I use for spinning that I bought in my teens. Both of those have stood the test of time.
  4. Oh f**k I haven't seen Office Space in years, truly funny film. I'll be watching that over the weekend. Another funny one is The Guard with Brendan Gleeson.
  5. Jesus those dish have melted your face!
  6. . I was turned down last year to go on the programme 10,000 bc and my mate who works for the Beeb told me it's because they want people to fail and turn on one another as it makes better telly, as opposed to a fat old grumpy fecker that just plods on and could live in a skip if he was asked to, so that's why. They are there You know what to do next time you apply. Pretend you are a useless c**t.
  7. Don't know mate. i'll go and have a look in a bit. I'll let you know how delicious they are. After they have turned your mouth inside out.
  8. I bet gruffalo griff could make a cider press for you, he's rayt handy at all that making stuff.
  9. Walshie. If you don't start a thread about hoe you have made/bought/borrowed/stolen a cider press and are now making cider I am going to be very very disappointed in you.
  10. The Hotels.com ads with captain obvious are well funny.
  11. You know what I would do? Get a cider press.
  12. It begins and ends with me. I am the alpha and the omega and all of hunting life must bow to me!
  13. Get a cider press. Get a cider press. Get a cider press. Or... You could get a cider press.
  14. Trouble is it doesn't get cold enough over here to wear that stuff, you just end up sweating.
  15. If I were one of the guns in your shoot then you bringing ANYTHING to share would be appreciated. Even better if that particular thing is not only something I habe necer tried before or is something special or unique to you or from your background or country. Traditionally here port, brandy, sloe gins etc. Maybe pork pies or sausage rolls as well. From your list anything on there would be appropriate and appreciated, especially if you explain that in New England you do a lot with apple, blueberry, cranberry etc...
  16. Any type of moleskins in particular? https://www.johnnorris.co.uk/john-norris-moleskin-trousers.html http://www.samuel-windsor.co.uk/shop.cfm/trousers/moleskin-trousers/73/7420?affiliate=12,5776&gclid=Cj0KEQjwpNm-BRCJ3rDNmOuKi9IBEiQAlzDJHxuSbpUXBIWyROdEwgN6QMFb0bhapVe6JIsoAvhddLQaAvKx8P8HAQ https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00GYAC9O0/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1473749629&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=moleskin+trousers&dpPl=1&dpID=41Q5dnZUTLL&ref=plSrch https://www.fifecountry.co.uk/mens/trousers/cords-and-moleskins/hoggs-moleskin-trousers-2151
  17. We called them riverssweat not breathable is an understatement the smock I've got walk 30 yards the inside is dripping worst jacket I've ever owned, our local gunshot can't give the stuff away Yeah they are minging. Them and ridgeline. Proper gash. Oilskins breath better and they are made of Pvc!
  18. None of it is perfect. 5 feet down is speaking a lot of sense. I don't ever wear waterproof trousers anymore. Just army surplus trousers. Like he says they wear hard and dry fast and once you are wet, you are wet. If you have the money Musto is good gear but it is expensive, same can be said of Harkila. Stay away from ridgeline it's utter f***ing gash. If you are digging i'd get some moleskin leggings as you have noticed goretex will just clog. Oilskins may be sweaty but they'll last and won't break the bank.
