    culling badgers will not eliminate the problem you will only cull a fraction of them .There are also other animals such as deer that can spread tb I think the only thing that will work totally will be vaccinating cattle and the cull money would be better spent on that aim

    Cant really see a problem in putting badgers on the quarry list.Thousands of people are out every day shooting deer,foxes and rabbits etc and there are still plenty of them.Just put them on quarry list for certain calibre rifles but still keep setts out of bounds or just keep it to (if causing damage or disease and only in the areas where damage or disease is being caused)

    The badger supporters will tell you that the areas likely to be affected by this problem could have been sprayed to kill the larvae that they are after before the problem arises.This is fine if it is the same area affected every year or you have a crystal ball.They will then say that the area can be protected by decent electric fencing which is fine if it is a small area that is not in the way of the golfing I do feel that when there is genuinely no other option that there should be a system where someone can come out and look at the problem and if they cannot come up with any solution tha

    Have no personal experience with those but at that price the chances are they are shite.If you buy them and no good you will have to but more and wasted a whole lot of money.Personally i would advise you to buy the ones from flatpack as i know they are good.If cost is an issue why not buy tunnel traps as they are roughly half the price of talpex and just as effective if placed well

    It is not just ferret locators it is shooting accessories in general.I buy led lamps from the states to for on top of my scopes and with all the air miles and even even they get taxed by customers still way cheaper for something that does the same job without an english shooting brand name on. I am afraid the hunting fraternity in this country get well shafted as there is not enough competition

    The way to look at it is it only needs to return one multiple mole job per year to pay for itself which i am sure it will.The more places you put yourself the more likely you .are to be seen. As long as it is not too expensive, The more the merrier

    It was still moving so dispatched with trowel,They are generally still moving when you catch them in a trap which is probably nerves but no sure way of telling so always best to give them rap with trowel to be on safe side

    Was setting traps this morning and as i uncovered a run a mole popped his head in out and then ran back in.As there were only 2 hills the field side i gathered there was a good chance he would have to come back through the tunnel to get back to home so i placed the duffus as usual .I the went out to the 2 hills and started prodding my probe about all over to try and flush him and within seconds the trap went snap and got him.Had traps go off while i was setting before but that was a quick one

    Last job to do on saturday and only doing that one because i have already booked it in and it is a paying job which they really want doing but stopped the recreational ferreting last week after having to dig ferrets and finding young in nests

    I also prefer duffus but trapline handy when you hit a 3 way.I also have one regular client that for some reason on his ground the duffus always get blocked.The only place i have found this and i have no idea why.Always use the trapline there,Also carry talpex but havent really used them enough to be confident with them but am going to start putting more down alongside duffus to get the feel of them.Most of my moles are caught first set with the duffus btu always good to have some different tools in the armoury

    I have bought them on ebay from the states.Sometimes they come and do not get charged,last time was intercepted and was charged £15 handling fee but still worked out cheaper

    +1 on the flatpcks.If you have not got your head around fine tuning traps yet the flatpack is probably the nearest you will get that is practically usable from new with very little tuning required

    Hi my name is mick.I have a pest control company called broadleaf pest management.I cover all pest species but prefer the wildlife management side like moles rabbits deer foxes squirrels etc.Started helping out on a local shoot when i was a teenager and held shotgun and firearms certs for over 30 years so do know my wildlife pretty well .Have rsph level 2 so do have a knowledge of most pest species but as i say the shooting and trapping side is my true passion
