Just got an almost new hw80k amazingly it shoots as good as my 97kt I am very surprised ,one hole groups at 30yds!! The silencer also does a good job the only noise you hear is from the internals. I got a friend to fire it and it is very quiet for a springer when you are stood along side it.

Hi you cant anodize steel, only aluminium and titanium. Electroplating a gun will mess up your barrel and all holes such as locating dowel holes will have to be reamed out again as electroplating builds up on edges, reblueing is the only safe option I can think of.

Over The Limit Brand New Guns..?
keithy replied to Skot Ruthless Teale's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Hi my brand new 97kt was 12.10 after about 30 shots trouble is with springers they tend to rise when bedded in so it could be 11.4 in the shop but 1000 pellets later be on or over 12 foot pounds. My first 97K rose 0.7 ft lbs. -
I ve both ,177 and .22 but prefer .22, the pellet drop is not really an issue both calibres drop. When you know your .22 gun you know how much to compensate. To hit a rabbit in the brain with .177 in the hunting field (not the range) is very difficult. But a hit with .22 NEAR to the brain will still kill due to impact shock.

Try the 97Kt (thumb hole ) stock even better than the 97K I have had both.

Shot Count Daystate Huntsman 22 .177
keithy replied to rabbitcatcher 1's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Hi my .177 huntsman does to 85 shots before the inpact point starts to drop at 35 yds, I charge mine to 210 bar as per the figure stated on the gun. I have recently been considering a HW100k but after asking a few HW100 .177 carbine owners the shot count of 56 shots is too low for me. My BSA r10 VC does at least 160 plus in .22. (never actualy run out of air so i dont now the exact figure). -
For me best springer 97KT, because I dont like the horrible ratchet noise when cocking the TX200 and also having to press the release button to close the cocking lever which incidently is not held secure enough for a sling. The prosport silver cocking lever is Just so wrong on an otherwise beautiful gun. However both AA guns do shoot with a softer recoil than a standard 97KT in .22 caliber.

A quick update on my previous post just changed pellets to falcon accuracy plus. I can now better the tx200 that i tried earlier (we shoot together) My groups are now sub 5 pence piece at 30 yds with a standard untuned 97kt with Hawke Panorama EV AO scope.

Hi have recently been shooting a tx200 in .22, I own a standard 97kt .22 and have owned a 97k with a v mach kit. The tx does appear to shoot better than a 97kt out of the box. The one I tried had a softer recoil than my gun and I could get better groups than with my standard 97kt. The recoil on my standard gun is more bouncey in comparision however with a tuning kit you can turn them into a dream gun. Points I did not like on the tx200 are the annoying rachet sound of the cocking sears and particularly having to press the release button to close the cocking arm and then the safety catch, its j
