How Much Is Basc Membership
sparkycrew replied to Fretwell 59's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
dont be a nob, best place to ask about a shooting related issue is a forum relating to shooting, like this one,if people didnt ask, the forum would collapse, your cant be that anti social as your on this forum -

Got A New Scope
sparkycrew replied to Corinium Stew's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
ive just found out shooting uphill or down hill significantly changes your zero beware as even a slight rise or fall over 25m can catch you out btw iam saving for a chrono nick -
i thought my scope was cheap and nasty, turns out i need glasses, hate wearing them for shooting but when i crane my neck enough to see under the rim the optics are really quiet good,so its either shoot well but miss seeing the shot or see the shot miss the target nick

Got A New Scope
sparkycrew replied to Corinium Stew's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
could try using hawke chairgun pro on the generic mil dot scope,it gives u a graph so you can see how your pellets behave at any distance, you will need to chrono your rifle to work out your fpe regards nick -

Tx200 Tune Or Not?
sparkycrew replied to crazycraddog's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
couple of the guys have suggested a strip and re grease to me saying the air arms factory grease is not the best,my rifle is only five months old and i dont to open it up while is under warranty, however, when its out of guaratee i will probably do a mild polish and grease as every firing cycle will move grease from where it should be,but for the time been iam enjoying accuracy/power of these superb rifles nick -
Tx200 Tune Or Not?
sparkycrew replied to crazycraddog's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
simon i shouldered a tx 200 and was impressed how well it balanced even with a scope on it,i find the prosport to heavy for standing shots, both are amazing rifles though as i found out when i fired my mates "datsan" strycker.22,it nearly jumped out of hands, sorry for sounding a snob -
it doesnt work correctly with my nikko sterling scope, might as well have micky mouse on my scope cover regards nick

Tx200 Tune Or Not?
sparkycrew replied to crazycraddog's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
if its as accurate as you say i would leave it alone, the thud you hear is the spring unloading, having your cheek on the stock amplifies the noise through nasal cavities to your ears, for me the noise and slight recoil give my prosport its character,i shot a couple of expensive pcp's the other night and although they were nice, its a real non event when pulling the trigger, also one pcp shot badly at 40m,prosport hit the hft rabbit more times at 40 metres, how smug do i feel nick -
Tx200 Tune Or Not?
sparkycrew replied to crazycraddog's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
when you say loud is it when your firing it or is it the muzzle report when someone else fires it,my prosport has quiet a thud, but one meter infront of the barrel and its pcp quiet nick -

Dodgy Scope?how Would I Know
sparkycrew replied to sparkycrew's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
OK with AA field pellets over 20 shots the extreme spread was only fps, washing and lubing pellets has smoothed out the rifle and tightened the group,i dont get daft flyers its a one piece mount with an arrester pin,i have had the scope and mount off to clean and adjust and try differant positions but iam meticulas in checking and refitting, the clamps were tightened down gently and uniformly, -
Hy guys, had my prosport two months,in the begining it was great but things have been getting worse,i cant group tight one hole groups that fit under a 5p piece like i used to,have worked really hard trying to be consistent, but nothing seems work and to be honest its not the rifle i was promised it would be,i know iam a newbie but when you have shot well in the beginning after two months i cant hold a group inside 1.5 inches,i have cleaned the barrel tried different pellets, started washing and lubing pellets which has tightened the group slightly, iam now thinking the scope could be at fault,it

Bought some of the above pellet today as the ongoing search for the right pellet for my prosport, first impressions on opening the tin is how well finished they are, really shiney, clean and almost polished,on closer inspection against my usual pellet AAFD they have a thinner waist, less of a dome and what looks a slight ring around dome, havent found one yet with a bent skirt, although the guy at the gunsmiths said the skirts are thicker, but they look similar to the eye, emptied the tin into a mild soapy solution, apart from 50 or so for my mate to try,the water became gray quickly and after rinsing

Pellets-Pellets But Which One
sparkycrew replied to sparkycrew's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
before i got my prosport i was intending to get a tx200hc,i had hold of a tx the other day and found it much steadier, wonder if the extra muzzle weight helps, also found i could stand and hold aim with the tx,my prosport is to heavy to free stand shoot nick -

sparkycrew replied to sparkycrew's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
