  10. good call jon, they look similar in flight and to have three in the air at once kinda looks like a sparrowhawk pair displaying and an outsider being nosy..... had a cuckoo behind the house this week! best one ive ever seen and ive seen two different birds are the hoopoe closest i got was about 20ft yr before last!

  19. nice one lads looking good!!! sure i seen that beddy cross before but it had more wool lol!!!!
  20. dont completely dispell the weimaraner as a worker, there are some good uns out there,if you want another type of hpr then the hungarian vizsla would be the better choice again go for a decent working line... there are some good ones out there, as well as some cracking gwp's.. you can search for a good labrador or spaniel and still not find one so look out for the right stock its there somewhere....
  21. Dnt know what scares me the most lol... the shooting or the fact that you have a twin and theres two of you lol!!!!
  22. yeah but im more into the Lab's, It's you own peronal opinion im not stopping you. But i think a springer can preform just as well if not better. Also a good working weim is hard to come by these day's too(you will probaly disagee with that also) with all the show blood coming into there line's. Personally i think a springer would be better lol good replys mate,a good springer does perform and youre right good working weimaraners are hard to come by even if i do have a couple lol... and the show blood is screwing them despite one or two breeders breeding good working stock..
  23. why because you work springers??? a decent working weimaraner is in my opinion a much more versatile gundog than a springer spaniel... i worked springers for years and now my kennels are full of weimaraners and vizslas... as a breed the hpr is far more versatile than a springer... from roughshooting to airgun hunting to hawking and falconry the hpr covers more ground and finds more game, has three times the stamina, they might not bush for fun but thet dont walk past anygame either...fpr me the hpr is a far better option!
