  1. download CC cleaner, it's free, run and clean up your history ect, go to the registry checker and scan for issues, when it asks do you want to back up before changes always backup. Go to the uninstall section and uninstall any programmes you don't use anymore, rerun the cleaner again. down load malawarebytes, its free again, and run a full scan, can take hours but it will check for any malware which can slow down your pc, check that your antivirus checker is upto date, if not update or if it costs download a freebe like Avast or AVG, if you bank online the banks often give you a years free ant
  2. I have a Staffy and a Springer, both males, they have lived together for 3 years but now have to keep them apart as they have started fighting, no reason to speak of just don't get on anymore? Maybe the Staffy sees the Spaniel as a threat now he has matured not sure, I give them treats together to try and get them to bond again but you can see it's just a brief armistice and I part them before the growling and snarling becomes fighting and biting, sad part about it is they pine for each others company but just don't seem to able to make it work.
  3. bought a pair of Wyre Valley neoprene lined boots for beating and they've done me proud, only £40, the neoprene on the top stops higher up so with a pair of chaps they don't rip if going through brambles. Wore them when the temp was freezing and the snow was on the ground and in conjunction with a pair of welly liners kept my feet toasty while others were complaining of the cold. The sole has lasted well and still has plenty of grip left and no leaks in the uppers even after trudging through chest high brambles, blackthorn and climbing over barbed wire. Have outlasted some more expensive boots
  4. thanks for the replies, have kept it clean and spread some antiseptic cream on it. It's remarkable how quickly it seems to be healing, still a little lame but obviously not as bad as I first thought, a little blood goes a long way, panic over but have got some good advice which I will use in the future, will defo get some antiseptic spray and liked the idea of the kids socks to keep it covered, thanks once again
  5. hi have you still got the Mossberg and if so what fishing gear are you after?
  6. probably been asked on this forum a million times (sorry to all those who have seen it all) but my spaniel has split his paw in between his toes and is lame, what is the best way to treat this? Any particular creams or ointments or just R and R? Many thanks
  7. don't know how many, almost couldn't get all in to carry back to the car, weighed a ton. Left the flapper for the buzzards. Big down side not only did we run out of cartridges but noticed the spaniel was limping in the evening and has split his paw in between his toe. Any advice as to how to treat this gratefully received.
  8. A quick word with the farmers son directed us to a freshly drilled field of barley alongside a strip of woodland with a handy ditch to set the hide in, got there a little late (mid morning) and totally knackered as it was a fair old stomp, about 50 birds lifted as we crossed the field, Quickly erecting the hide and setting the decoys while the dog let off a bit of steam working the woods we settled behind the netting and the first birds started coming in but didn't seem fully committed, a quick shuffle of the pattern and a few dodgy decoys back in the bag did the trick and we were in, first pi

  10. if he does the job properly he could keep her in the freezer , how's that for a compromise? Does that mean he should not f**k her off, or even kill her then spoil sport
  11. it's not that difficult to run a new cable from the house consumer unit then you could put a small consumer unit in the shed/garage and run some proper sockets and lighting, I did it for 2 sheds one 20ft from the house and one 80ft, used proper armoured cable, 2 consumer units and a properly rated MCB in the house consumer unit. By picking up all the gear from ebay and bootfairs did it all for under £50. Videos are available youtube if your a little unsure, if you've got half a brain and are methodical you could do it. I always take photo's with my phone or digital camera at each stage so if
  12. Looking to replace stolen Ferrets My father in-law was looking after my ferrets whilst I was in hospital and some nasty piece of work stole them. I'm in Faversham Kent, I have limited funds as still recovering from hospital visit and not working, but don't want to and shouldn't have to give up what I love doing due to some thieving so and so. thanks for looking and remember with all sorts out there it's not just your daughters you need to lock up!! (i don't think that sounds quite how I ment it )

  14. mustard stood up well last season and held alot of birds
  15. some dogs do and some dogs don't, I've seen dogs with blood all over their faces where they've pushed through brambles and dogs that are used for picking up flatly refuse to go into anything thorny. I've just started taking our springer, who came to us third hand at 6 months old and is now 3, rough shooting and he happily pushes through anything, he has a good nose and is getting the hang of retrieving, he is the family pet but I think most dogs have it in them you just have to coax it out!!
  16. an afternoons pigeon flight lining was the plan, as we walked up to the cut the springer flushed a mallard off a small drainage ditch, later came the flush of pheasants followed by a pair of mallards winging there way over and some hares on the far side of the field, the anticipation for the next season and the variety of game on this small rough shoot was mouth watering,as for the flight of pigeon, cut short as the breach on my sons O/U was creaping open after firering, expensive? he'll soon find out when he visits the gunsmith on Monday.
