    f**k going ferreting without a dog. Who marks? I ain't into wasting time netting emptys. Some if our permissions don't like lurchers but that's part reason I keep little dogs aswell. Marking up and helping put bunnys to ground and pushing them into long nets. Ferreting is like everything else there's a time and place to get job done quickly and bag up but it's also nice to kick back watch the animals graft and ferret at a lesurely pace enjoying the day and land around you.. Next time you up this way give me a shout Jim, even if just for a quick brew and chat about mongrels..

    I ain't talking half cross bull greyhounds mate. But if seen a few good uns when you get bullx put to a coursing dog, or even bull grey x coll grey. Just another option for you. It's parents I'd be more intrested in than the exact flavour of a pup.

    Take a drive up this way and on your way home accidentally drop the 50 live bunnys onto your permission whilst your checking a trap or Summat....

    Had a great few hours bolting a few bunnys to the mutts no great bag but a cracking bit of sport that the pups needed for some experience. Be out with nets now over the next few days. Jack if you get on with collie blood then give it a bash I used it as I get on with it and had both sire and dam here doing what I wanted so it made sense to try it rather than buy Summat in and hope it done the same job

    That's exact what I bred these for, multi purpose mutts. In do get on with collies and terriers in general and don't really get on with spaniels, they make me dizzy watching them lol that's the reason I tried them

    They are just mutts chid. The same type mutts we used to borrow of the neighbours as kids to go ferreting lol

    Aye Darren they sure provide fun lol see what tomorrow brings lol they are all between 16 and 19 ats. The easiest pups I ever had pleasure of training. We niticed today they tried swapping roles a couple of times I think it's cos there was another new terrier brought out with us that was also a natural searcher. It's still early days tho for these youngsters and they got a long way to go till I'll be happy but I do think they are showing all the right signs. Out tomorrow for a bit of fun bolting bunnys to them, no no nets no lurchers just the wee dogs and ferrets, it'll give experience and a b

    Make it known what your after. Make it known what sort of standards you expect the parents to be. Don't get nowt unless the guys are willing to walk out with you. Guys with decent dogs won't mind. Don't moan about travelling or price if the right pup is getting sold rather than gifted. Don't rush in. Be willing to wait for right pup. I used to buy in pups, made the above known was gifted a pup and now am offered a few every now and again just because folks know you do a bit. Things will turn Out right. Too many folk rush in and buy any old lurcher pup, my advice is wait it out and get the rig

    Ended up with 5, I have them with family and close pals so I can use them when I want. It suits me and they all got good homes no matter what happens with them.
