Lots of folk swear by tripe and iv got mates who's dogs do well on it but it's not there only food. I never use it just because I can't fetch it as easy as I can lamb beef and chicken. Everybody feeds dogs slightly diffrent pal and the trick is to try and find what works for you and the dog. Price and availability are a big part if your skint. Get begging around butchers and places or try find a local supplier of meat, it's usually cheap as long as you can buy a fair bit and freeze it

If your feeding enough meat and only adding a wee bit of dry food I wouldn't worry too much about it. Could even use pasta or rice veg or bread with meat aswell. Most pet shops, horse feed stores and lots if other places sell better dry food. But like I said if it's only getting minimal ammount of dry as I think dogs should, then don't get too hung up on what's best. If that is all you can source then use it. But remember a varied diet is always best and dogs do best on mostly meat imo

I had a thermos one and it lasted well for few years whilst winter fishing and ferreting on freezing mornings till a mate kicked it in river trying to get to a fox in a net lol Was a bit pissed off at time but thinking back to look on his face as it hit river is worth it lol never replaced it tho, so I take it, it wasn't that important to me lol

The Aussies don't have special working breeds I'm sure lots of dogs come from pound and places over there. They get cross bred and I should imagine they cull what don't work so that's half the battle. Dare I mention the aluant word? Plummer re created them and started Plummer terrier strain and I'm sure he done a diffrent type bushing terrier aswell. So it can be done,if you really want it

I never said anything negative. Shooting a stray dog living on a tip as a last resort is hardly negative. I find it hard to believe tho nobody has took the poor mutt home???? All willing to say well done but it's still living among and on the rubbish it gets from ripping bin bags open Ffs.

Does it live feed on that rubbish? Do the dog a favour and put a lead on it and look after it, drop it off at a rescue or shoot the poor f***ing thing mate. That's a fooking pity full site
