    I agree we are a company based on the district we worked we charged the LA for our work they just never passed the charge on it kept two local lads in work and paying taxes It worked well a LA employing a local small company It went to tender every 2 years so every one had a chance After 6 years I lost it April to a national who saved then a couple hundred quid

    Problem with verbal permission is there is a danger of some one giving you the permission and it not being theirs to give Then if push comes to shove and a problem comes up that person has then only got to deny saying it But if it's written down your not at fault because you understand you've got the right person it's then down to them to tell You if they are not the land owner and can't give permission It's all about covering your rear

    We're not a national company and we managed any situation for our council contract with no problem As far as contracts are concerned why should a LA pest control service take them on and break even What's the point in that you can sweep the m6 for nothing The trouble with having something that makes nothing is it gets no priority I know lads that work for 3 in house LA pest control departments All of them have a week long wait for a pest control visit

    They do because rats and mice roaches,fleas,bedbugs,and IDs are free We got in the region of 900 no charge calls a year You see some great things though

    If you've got a letter saying you can shoot on the land and you get questioned by the police at 2 in the morning the letter will stop them getting the farmer out of bed and asking him if it's ok for you to be there A good idea I saw in a lads motor was a small note book with a quick note from land owners with address contact details and the ok to shoot you can write the note the farmer just has to sign it

    I totally agree what I'm getting at is even the lads that don't know about decent products or where to get them are still having ago Your right armed with washing up bottles and ant powder I watched a so called pest controller doing a wasp nest in a hedge with an old piece of net curtain on his head And a can of plumbers pipe freeze spray in one hand and wd40 in the other The lady said for £20 I don't care what he is uses as long as he gets rid of them What chance we got

    Professional use is just that amateur use is for any one to use And in a wasp nest are grubs and these crawl not fly Bit like treating maggots or moth grubs you wouldn't use a space spray even though they will eventually fly

    You are right I finished my council contract in April after 6 years They did the same we did 500 - 600 nests every year for them If you could drop an advert through every door on the patch you would only get 10% read it When it comes from the council every one reads it

    @ WXM....You are quite right of course The trouble is, as a Moderator, you can't just 'block' members.... especially when they follow you round the forum trying to make you delete them The really sad thing is; some of them push, and push and push, and when that fails to work, they threaten to waste money on solicitors sending pointless letters Really and truly, folks need to remember that t'is just the t'internet, and it's quite easy to not bother logging in You get solicitors letters because some one wants you to ban them and you won't have i read that right Really

    I got the top off a can of carb cleaner it has a little straw bit on it about 5mm cut the yellow attachment of the wasp wand Push the new cap onto the pipe then you can put any aerosol through it You aren't getting mixed up with a dust stick are you The wasp wand is a telescopic fibreglass rod with a thin pipe running through it needle on one end can on the other

    Problem is you can do a wasp nest with wilko ant powder at 99p a tub enough for 5 nests So there is no stopping the £10 jobs I've done no end of nests I could see with wilko crawling insect spray works a treat again 99p a tin Goes through the wasp wand aswell

    Have a go with storm Never fails Problem I found with the tube bait is In the winter it's rock hard In the summer it melts the bits in it collects in the end and blocks up Storm is a cracking bait in block form

    Dan will still have to prove he's got rid of it when the ticket goes in even if it's a letter transferring ownership to The RFD confirmation that the 17 is no longer his and who know owns it needs to go in with the ticket

    If your taking the 17 off your ticket you need to sell it before you send it in Because you can't have it taken off your ticket while you still own it no matter who's got it Put the variation in to have a 22 250 as well but keep the 17 sell it when your ready

    If you've got 223 on your ticket you can't get a 22 250 until your ticket comes back with 22 250 on it Make sure you put 22 250 mod as well Why are you leaving the 17 with a bloke

    I only had 22 and 17 on my ticket When it came time to re new I had 223 put on it they all came back without restriction But my ticket had run for 5 years Good luck
