Hi,my uncle has been using the same browning rimfire on his land for 41 years, its a tired looking thing (rifle not uncle) but its done its job without issue and he wouldn't dream of changing it, anyone had an 'old faithful' longer?
I was teasing a friend of mine the other day about the tired and worn appearance of his rifle,he told me he had owned it 41 years, maintained it faithfully,it had never let him down and would never dream of replacing it,has anyone out there owned an 'old faithful' longer?
Could someone tell me the pro's and con's that these rifles have in relation to each other,I'm aware the HMR is incredibly popular and I totally understand why but why isn't the WMR up there with it?
Personally I feed my working cocker once a day when I have my own evening meal + I'll top it it up on occasion if she's bolted it down, she's never shown an interest in food at any other time.
Thanks for the replys and a fair point made by 'the one' springers due seem to be getting smaller,I spoke to a bloke yesterday with a welsh springer ironiclly called murphy,it was liver and white small in stature and moved like lightning.
Hello all, quick question if I may, I've recently bought a anschutz 525 that's hardly been used,I'm aware that some ammo can on occasion be a bit clingy in transition, does this rifle prefer a peticular make/type of ammo?
Hello again folks, anyone out there have experiance and opinions on working sprokers,I own a cocker and have seen springers in action many times but know little of the working potential of springer/cocker mix? Would be great to hear from some experianced owners
Hello folks ive picked up an anschutz 525 for light vermin control, i am also permitted to purchase a .17hmr if i so wish ive had my eye on a little browning held by a local supplier but have been adviced by other more experienced with vermin control than myself that i should not bother as my 525LR is fit for purpose for taking down anything its required to so why bother? do they have a point or does the .22LR have one purpose ideally and a HMR another, whos up for helping a newbie?
