John i think all your vids are great and show all the real situations that people can be faced with,
but i must say its just a shame about the accent
How much powder to you squeeze into the 7mm rem mag case?
The stuff you need to try is fogtech.
This happened to me several times and i assume it was caused by the scope lying across
my back during freezing conditions.
About time too dave.
I have had many nights where i have lamped on foot for 5/6 miles
then looked in the last field where the car is parked and then
shot a fox.
It has also worked the other way round where i shoot a fox in the
first field then see nothing else all night.
Yes they will but crows need a bit more stopping so shoot them closer.
I use danarms 7.5s @ £37/ 250 and work excellent on ferals that i have
been shooting.
Do a search on guntrader for guns in your price bracket as there are loads on offer.
Rizzini, lanber, baikel, lincoln.
There is a decent looking rizzini.E for £325 which would be an ideal starter gun.
Another great write up john:thumbs:
The big puff of WD40 really is a pain but i found by using the dyson to
hoover out the T8 before leaving home really helped to reduce it.
1/4 AND 1/2 would pretty much cover the bases if using plastic wads
or 1/2 and 3/4 if using fibre.
The most important thing is to use a cartridge that patterns the way
you want it to in your gun.
Not sure whether thats him or its another brother out of the same litter. I'll get Amy to find out
the dog i rang Amy about has been rehomed now to a police dog handler it was red with white feet a real stunner pity i didnt have room or it would have been back with me
A stunner was an understatement
I use 65gr vmax over 41.7gr N140 giving MV of 3390 fps and 1659 ft/lbs from a 20" barrel.
From a 100yrd zero the bullet drops around 7.5" @ 300yds and retains a MV of 2387fps and 822 ft/lbs.
A 70gr nosler over 43 gr N140 gave 3500 fps and 1904 ft/lbs with a drop of 7" @ 300 yds from a 100yrd zero and retains 2536 fps 1000 ft/lbs .
Both these loads are far superior to federal 55gr 223 ammo.
From federal website MV of 3240 fps with 1282 ft/lbs dropping 11" @ 300yds from a 100yd zero and retains 2212 fps and only 597 ft/lbs.
I havnt shot anything with the noslers but the v-max is fa
i think this is what you want.

i have used these for foxs/rabbits and are a great cartridge.
I clean mine nearly every time i use the rifle, even if i have fired
only 2 or 3 shots. It only takes 10 mins when you keep on top of it.
I also dont clean the .22lr.
shot at distance no doubt, think you would have trouble getting them in close when they can obviously see you
They were all shot at around 120 yds so quite close.
It doesnt matter if the moon is high or not when you are shining a
bright lamp in their face, they will either come in or they wont.
I go out when the moon is up, infact my best night of 6 foxs was shot when the moon was up. When it is really frosty and the moon is up, now that is a horrible night.
It is -4 tonight and the moon is shining bright and i am still off for a look round.
