Another plus for FAC air over live is that you can order any amount of pellets by post !
-
Just buy a quick coupler from Best fittings.
-
Not Newcastle, but mine took 7 weeks from interview over the Christmas period. Felt like 7 months !

Too many variables, download Chairgun Pro ( it's free ) from the Hawke /Deben web page. It will tell you everything you want to know.

I have used this oil on my guns and think it's the best, the only problem is I do think the rabbits can smell it a mile off.

I believe the 42mm is the diameter of the scope cap diagram

Thanks for the replies. I cannot get on with the Panorama still undecided what next. My Mamba turns milky in low light , not sure if Mamba lite does. May try Varmint or Eclipse SF next or even Nite eye. Anyone tried the expensive new Nikon Monarch 3 yet ?
-
Digging-deep, that Mamba lite looks good ,which one is it ?
-
Does the Mamba lite fit ok ? Which one , the 3-12 ? I have a Mamba 4-16x50 on another gun and I don't think that will fit.

I need a new scope for my HW97KT , what can you recommend that doesn't obstruct the loading port. Must be parallax adjustable .

I have the Deben Ultra Spot lamp, very pleased with it, on offer from Uttings at the moment comes complete with charger and red filter. Where abouts in the county are you ?

Two months later, the Perm has given me over 100 rabbits and a few magpies, there is no visible difference in rabbit numbers , they are just everywhere here. The 97 took some time to get used to , but one day every thing came together and I now have a difficult choice as to which gun to go out with. It groups as well as my HW100 even in my hands .

I think Si's video is of the older Chairgun Pro not the current one, but like the others have said it will not be accurate with the MTC recticle.

Most of the coastline is National Trust so no shooting and lots of walkers. I thought the general license was only for Lesser Black Backed Gulls not Greaters .

Whilst I was at Tony's collecting my 97 , I bought the genuine Weihrauch silencer from him . I tried it on the range for the first time today. Not over impressed, on the tuned gun I didn't notice any sound difference ( it may have been quieter downrange ) it certainly was more awkward with the extra barrel length and at 35yds the POI dropped 1mil. I probably won't bother again. The gun is getting better and better though .
-
I was quoted about the same price for the gun, so I bought it new and tuned by Tony. I drove all the way up there to collect it, made a super day out and came home with a car full of new toys . Petrol was obviously more than the postage but not a great amount especially as I wanted to talk with Sandwell about the tune/gun and I did save postage on all the other bit and pieces. Well that is my excuse and I am sticking to it.

Hi Mole Trapper, I have a LRF 600 Hawke, not the solar one. It's been very reliable it's supposed to be more waterproof than the 400 model but otherwise just the same with a bit more range. The solar one does not have the rain mode that the 400 & base 600 have, I see you are in Cornwall ,if you are in the far south/west I could give you a demo.

My return to air gunning continues, Sunday : Beautiful sunny day at the HFT club , went for a walk when I got home and stumbled into my first vermin permission for over 30 years, and shot my first rabbit on it that evening. Spent time on the permission every day since getting a rabbit or two most visits with my HW100. Thursday : The magic phone call from SFS, your tuned HW97KT is ready . Friday: On the doorstep of SFS at opening time, returning home late afternoon with just enough time to pop one rabbit with it. I won't be forgetting this week for a long time ! Happy days.

You need to update your signature, Have you had a chance to try the HW97 yet ? Mine should be ready next week
-
Have you got yours back yet ?
-
You will be more than happy with the FZ150, I have been using one for wildlife photography for a couple of years, and it still surprises me how good the results are. SLRs are far too cumbersome to carry. PM me if you have problems with it. John

Sometimes I think that my scope is not on straight, then I try to hold the gun straight and it looks ok then. Surely it will only matter if you re-adjust the zero. If you are not holding the gun straight then that is the thing you must correct.

Does not exist in the Deben catalogue that I have. It looks like a 4-12x50 Sport IR, price would be about right too. When you enlarge the picture it does say Mill Dot on the scope.
-
Very nice Steve. I have to wait a few more weeks before mine is ready , cannot wait. John

I have a hw97k on order, what are other owners doing about a silencer ? Are you buying an after-market one or is the gun quiet enough that it doesn't need anything extra. I thought it came with one as standard but it appears it doesn't have anything in it.
