    1is the magic number mate get it up and running to a good standard i wil take 2 to 3 years and then buy your self a pup to bring on. you will put more time in to 1 pup it will pick things up quiker because you will be running 1 pup on and not the 2 plus you will probley find you faver one off the pups so 1 will suffer [working wise] because you think 1 pup is doing better than the other ok mate

    Last year went for a walk with my dog when it seen a deer in the next field and took off after it we ran to keep the dog and deer in sight but they were gone it took 3 1/2 hours to find the dog to say i was getting worried would be an understatment i think this as happened to a few lads/lase that they have lost ther dogs for a few hours so i got to thinking the yanks use tracking systems on there hounds i was wondering has any body use them over here. they would be agood bit of kit just in case your dog sees a deer while you are walking and takes off

    dug a vixen last season went back to the same earth 4 days later and had a dog and vixen out , 2 is the most for me

    the black dog is 3/4 grey 1/4 kerry blue as a pup little lurcher now owns him. The merle is my good mates dog bull/grey x collie/grey . Cheers for replys lads

    Dont want to sound rude but you sound like you are discibing a pet not a working dog.Terriers are usually used in lurcher make up to add gameness and a tall pain barrier.The terrier in question is the kerry blue which your dog has in its make up SO is it game and can it take the pain? I suspect you havnt tested it in that respect and thats fine but that is what is being discussed here and what the origional questioner wants to know-- I think oh he can take it and more , but given this is an open forum im happy to say he works well , does all thats asked , he is a loyal working dog with t

    where your quarry is educated you could drop the best terrier in the world in does,nt mean your getting him in one hole spot on

    got a video of a mates dog took 32 rabbits single handed very fit dog and plenty to go at must have run 45/55 to get the 32 so you could imagine how many runns it would take to catch 100 single handed
