Webley Falcon Refurb And Slow Rust Blue
valboskie replied to valboskie's topic in General Airgun Discussion
it was now time to start the stock after stripping off the old varnish the stain had soaked deeply into the end grain and was a battle to get most of it out i tried bleach and oxalic acid and it still would not totally shift -
Webley Falcon Refurb And Slow Rust Blue
valboskie replied to valboskie's topic in General Airgun Discussion
first thing to do was strip off the old bluing and check out how bad the pitting was. it was worse than i had hoped after many hours i had got to this stage -
it has been an epic battle last a lot longer than i had hoped but the pictures are finally done on my Webley Falcon project. the rifle was found in an attic it had been there for nearly 30 years and was in a bit of a state

If you spend slightly more and look second hand you can pick up a nice scope. I judt sold ha hawke the 4-12x40 ao ir scope 6 months old for £70. There are some great scopes out there just above your budget. I would save a little longer and buy a better scope second hand cheers david

My boy shoots a concept super 6 and the two of us think its a brilliant rifle they are very accurate and with the silencer they are incredibly quite. it will match most pcps for accuracy and it is very consistent in the sweat spot he gets a 4fps maximum spread over 10 shots at 11.4fpe. he wants a change though as I have bought 5 rifles in the time he has had his about a 15 months. he wants an hw100kt now or an aa mpr. enjoy your rifle mate you will not be disappointed cheers David

Air Rifle Suitable For Starting Out With On A Budget
valboskie replied to jennym's topic in General Airgun Discussion
If you go second hand you could get a tx200 Hw 97 Hw 95 Or something similar for your £200 budget. The tx and 97 are probably 2 of the best springers you can buy. atb David -
Darryl great video mate. In your opinion could you use this product on top of existing bluing to cover some scratches or would this product ruin the existing facyory blue. cheers David

Millers red rubber grease of the bay is really good it is very sticky stuff even using brake and carb cleaner to degrease a spring with this on it takes a few goes. If you buy it don't put to much on as you will loose power it's that sticky atb David

I thought my tx200 mk3 hc .177 was brilliant till I shot a mk2 it is a far faster and sweeter shot cycle than the mk3 the mk3 was made for the export market, it was built with enough stroke to run at 20fpe plus. At sub 12fpe its slow and lazy and can be hold sensitive . the mk1 and 2 have 14 mm less stroke and are far more efficient. The mk3 can be tuned into something special a friend of mine has one which has been short stroked. his has a longer piston/latch rod 14mm the piston has been lightened to 220 grams its had 5mm wide bearings added to the piston instead of the useless air a

My son has one in .177 and he loves it .he uses it for hft its a very accurate whisper quite rifle Its light and suits him very well. I can't get him to pellet test the rifle he uses rws superdomes its doing 11.4 fpe and to be honest he has shot Some brilliant groups . He uses a hawke airmax ev map6 top bubble is 25yards cross hair is 35 then its 40 45 50 So its perfect for him at hft. When I entered other pellets into chairgun all his range markers change so he is happy as is. His is the walnut super 6 and honestly in can match any pcp for accuracy even with super dommes Cheers Davi

Hi lads has anyone used one of these for hft nikon prostaff or vortex diamondback with the bdc reticle . I was on another forum reading that with the dots being just an outline like a bubble on the nikon you can use the top middle and bottom of the bubble Giving you 12 aim points . Has anyone done this.If you have could you give me an example of your range card so I can see what its like compared to a map6 ret or mildot .. Has anyone used the vortex diamondback it looks to have a lot less aim points but can it be made to work for hft .again if anyone uses one could I see what their range
