  6. johnjib90.i dont chase as i have no dog and i dont carry a gun i just put the light on and have a quick scan of the field.also i am doing it so i know where to drop some netted rabitts down to restock areas for the future .i also plan on relocateing some hares

  8. johnjib90.i can assure you i am not a peeping tom i like to still go out and check ground to see how the rabitt or hare situation is for future reference.i make a mental note where the cwd hares rabitts pheshants are just because i have not got a dog it doesent mean i cant go and have a good long walk in the dark
  9. borderscott.my friend was holding the lead of the fawn greyhound bitch and i said do not let her off it is frosty.it was at a place called mentmore he let her off she coursed a hare it ran across a piece of the field where cattle had beeen drinking at a cattle trough.the ground was very rough broke a front toe /long distance bitch i used to flap her at hinkley dog track.he never even apologised i would never let anyone hold the lead of a greyhound of mine ever again

  11. years ago we made our own lamps out of car spotlights notek farlite was one blue eye in the middle of the lense.my favorite was whaht we called the lucas flamethrower big chrome spotlights usauly found on lorries.now days as i have not got a dog at the moment i wander about in the dark with led torches.surpriseing how bright they are and very good battery life.my friend purchased a hid torch of ebay 85watts comes in a alloy case .very bright torch.lets see your lamps and torches

  14. borderscott .i totally agree with you .if a dog or bitch is 6 .7 yrs old and has proven his or herself over a few seasons to be quality.and you need a replacemeant for the older dog to train up then by all means breed .when i bred my litters i only used quality greyhound blood and a sire i had complete faith in .i generally kept one back after closely watching them for a few weeks.the rest i usaully gave away as i was not intrested in makeing money out of them .tho i must admit several of my choices did not turn out as exspected but thats breeding for you .one litter of deerhound lurcherxgsd x

  16. i have had a few x racers i like the young ones that have turned there head on the track.normally they are sound i allways use to be carefull where i ran them mainly nice open corn fields not near barbed wire .i had a bitch for 5yrs and i bred two litters of deerhound lurcherx gsd to her and one gsd to her .another i had a fawn bitch preban on cwd she was so quick she had a 100 percent kill rate they just couldnt get away from her but she never came into season she would have bred some cracking pups.greyhounds are great but i find you have to be very selective where you run them .you have to h
