Hi Quagmire, I live in scotland, angus and it is ILLEGAL to shoot wildfowl in scotland on sundays and christmas day. I have looked at BASC "bible" too, there is no mention of your area so if I was you I would contact a local wildfowling club in your area and ask them. Just 14 weeks until september sorry but 14 wks and one nit lol Till we can get out there in the rain/cold/mud them bloody geese are to far away, what the hell is going on this bloody gun not working properly cant hit a bloody thing anymore. Are well its better than that nice hot / cosy / snug central heating system ???????

Hi, I brought 60 pink footed decoys when they first ever came over about 7yrs ago, they pull the geese in BUT that it they look the nuts untill u look over the top of them they have no necks this will put the geese off instantly, i use to use over 200 decoys but only used these FUDs 4 times to prove they didnt work on there own or in a pattern they just dont like them when over the pattern, wasted £500, if anything they need to bulk out the necks it might make the differance ??????. I would never buy them again but the duck/wigeon/pigeon all the smaller bird sizes seem to work well. Not th

If you know the farmer well ask if you can dig a 3 foot deep hole in field, then just a bit of dessert netting around you, much more comfy, plus it keeps you a bit healthier.

If they are cheap enough then give them a go, but i would only do this early season as said before they will get very picky to what they will come into, late season you could use them just a little past your pattern incase the birds fly over your main pattern you might just slow them up enough to get that extra few seconds to get your bird, Got nothing to lose in my eyes.

All the callers that are being named are all very good but as Rookie hunter said the ALT 800 is at the top, but all the others are good enough to do the job, you can always tune them up. But please remmeber to do this with a friend who is also a goose shooter, he can help you to get the caller closer than the factory call.
