Harrington jacket that i saved ages for. Wham bars. 10 penny mix ups in a white paper bag. Trying my first fag at a stupid young age thinking you had to blow through it not suck it (prat eh). Putting tissue paper in my matchbox so Mom and Dad didnt hear the matches rattling as i went up the stairs. Oh the days! The clangers and Flumps and Button Moon. And that first kiss at the school disco! Hoping didnt bang teeth. Lol

Ba***ds want hanging themselves or better still left to rot in a dingy cell for the rest of there lives. Sad sad world what with this and the thread about that fecking so called 'art'. Personally i would like to see that artist tied up in a cell left to starve then a pack of strays allowed in to start feeding on the barely still alive wan*er.

Ive been rearing orphans again this year and all the 21 buggers have gone and contacrted orf. All the web sites seem to contracdict each other so i am trying everything, teramycine sptay, iodine, pen & strep and a tubby. The other half has got in on his finger too which he is nay happy about at all! Was told caster oil is good but the lass at Boots just looked at me like i was an idiot when i asked about it. Any one out there had this problem and any tips/old timer ways of clearing it up?

Quails, just out of the incubator
Groverdog replied to bigbulls's topic in Living Off The Land & Game Cooking
They look great. 40 out of 50 is a really good hatch rate isnt it. Hope i get some sucess from my lot in the incubator just now. Last lot i put in (24 eggs) all but 5 were fertile and then for some reason heat went up to 112f on day 10 ish and all but 3 dided. Then on hatch day nothing happened. Cracked the eggs on day 22 just to see and formed chicks but had died. Guessing i f**ked up big time. Am trying again and have got 12 eggs under bantam. Reckon she will do a far better job than me! -
Weve the best beef, lamb and pork in the world and the best fishing fleet if only the fecking powers at be would recognise and support it. We had the best manufacturing didnt we but yep that too was screwed. At the moment them that make all the decisions are the best at encouraging all natives to feck off out of this country and find somewhere else to try and make a bob or two!

Ah the great 70's and 's growing up. I mind my Mom once used ajax powder to scrub the back of our necks cos we were filthy from playing outside in the dirt. Would be considered child abuse now. Watched the Ashes to Ashes last night and spent the hour laughing about the early 's but what a great time. Always falling off horses and breaking bones getting concussed and was just told well that what you get! And if we ever dared to break the law then it would be my dad who would march us to police station first!

thought this email sent to me was quite good. Sad but unfortunately true :-( My parents told me about Mr. Common Sense early in my life and told me I would do well to call on him when making decisions. It seems he was always around in my early years but less and less as time passed by. Today I read his obituary. Please join me in a moment of silence in remembrance, for Common Sense had served us all so well for so many generations. > > Obituary > Common Sense > Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us

Always wanted to try and raise quail and looked into buying some. I keep chickens but thought quail were hard to keep. Can you recomend some good books/websites for a beginner in quail? And would they be ok in the North of Scotland? I did get an incubater from a friend but havent had the courage to use it yet definately need guidance on that aspect. They sound tasty!!

Following the thread about Alsations i tried to click on a link on Geocities. Couldnt get on but somehow found myself on a site www.uswardogs.org.(couldnt find a British eqivilent) Now sitting here blubbing away after reading stories about war dogs. Hero dogs of all breeds which show just how faithful these animals were and are. Owe a massive debt to both human and animal veterans of all wars/conflicts. There was a post on here a good while back about sending packages to Forces in Middle East, wondering now if that could include stuff for canines and their handlers serving with troops?

we are onto our 2nd GSD. 1st one was (i will not apologise for sounding sappy) my best pal. Protective if ness but fantastic with everyone who wasnt a threat. Never a lip raised unless absolutly nessercery. Always felt safe and secure when partner was away. Big old softy. Our 2nd one is a bitch who i will say is alot sharper guess its because shes from German working lines. Needs alot more firm but kind handling. Its def the owners not the breed thats at fault. I refuse to live life without a GSD as you couldnt find (IMHO) a better breed.

This year seems to have been a boom year for rats around the farm and me and the farmer have been using a combination of terriers, poison and now i can actually use the air rifle that aswell. Outside in the sheds was beginning to clear up of them but as i sit and type this i can hear the b*stards gnawing behind the walls. Ive been putting poison down underneath the floorboards in a room i can get acess to underneath and they have been clearing it up but the noises are getting worse! Worried now in case of fire. Any suggestions gratefully recieved.

ive seen my partner cut the throat of a deer and it was in my own mind horrific. But i think thats because i would hate to die that way myself. Shouldnt put the human feeling element into an animal i know. Im a total hypocrit anyway cos i dont want to die by posion but i happily put down posion for rats.

1 for an ex boss who was a total pri*k and tried to ruin my life. 2nd for the first person i found who robbed an elderly person or was a convited peodofile (spelling) or commited an act of obscene cruelty to animal or human 3rd for anyone who pis*ed me off at the the wrong hormonal time!!! Mind you no doubt theres been those whose bullet was aimed my way too.

ive had a stab at hawthorne and port jelly which was quite nice almost a smokey flavour. And i found a recipe for hawthorne brandy using the flowers and according to the book ive got the leaves are really nice in a salad in the spring too. A pal of mine used them when she couldnt find sloes for making sloe gin and it tasted really nice. Is it not called bread and cheese tree?

I totally agree its the most barbaric way to kill an animal. I work for sa slaughterhouse and the animals have the most humane death possible. Religion is no excuse for traeting an animal this way. Cant imagine anything more stressful than having your throat cut. We killed a cockeral at the weekend for the table and uppermost was the cocern for it to be stree free and humane as possible first for the animals sake then for tastes sake. Cant see how the meat would be very nice from a stressed animal. But then we are the barbaric ones think NOT!!

Sounds like you do need to see a GP and get there help. Not nice at all to feel so anxious about anything but i think that getting it off your chest is the first step to getting better. All the best and i hope you resolve this asap.

Course they are ,my Dad being a fully paid up member of one such clinic. there are cause and effects to every action. I cant blame anyone or thing for my bad habits cept myself. Noone forces me to smoke or drink its all my own choice. most of the tax from drink and fags goes back to the NHS. If unhealthy foods were taxed the same way then maybe that money could go towards it too. If all smokiers and drinkers gave up where else would they retrieve the money from? And noone can tell me that all the tax that goes in has to pay for smoking related illnesses so i cant believe that the NHS would be

oh i know there are some medical conditions physical and mental (sorry cant physio???) that would cause someone to have there crutches ie fags, food, drugs etc etc. But 1 major point i'd like to make is this As a 35 yo who smokes, drinks, drives a gas guzzling Disco, lives in the sticks with no kids who cost money to educate, never claimed benfits and hardly use the medical practise i believe (now someone please correct me if i am wrong) me and my partner pay a hell of alot of tax towards whatever our pathetic excuse of a goverment decides to spend it on. That i pay a fair bit towards my

Never in my life have i heard such crap. Obese people blaming anyone but themselves for their condition ie environmental factors blah blah. Except in the case of medical conditions it is simply a case of eating too much and not exercisng enough. We all have choices. I smoke and drink and if i really wanted to i would give up but i enjoy it and am fully aware that i will pop my clogs early cos of it. Time people stopped anything and anyone. For fecks sake these people should get out a bit more and eat a bit less if they are that worried about there weight. Sorry to rant just really hacked me of
