  1. www.flatpack.co.uk great traps & come with stainless bodys now
  2. on with my first urban fox job at a builders merchants, set the trap at 11 o'clock Monday morning baited with cat food had a call at 3 to say had a fox, reset trap & got number 2 on Thursday morning, reset with butchers dog food with tripe after reading this thread, went down at 7.30 as they opened today & saw Charlie checking out the trap sat & watched him sniffing round the trap then he just walked straight in bingo number 3. time to get another 62p tin of butchers to reset Monday morning
  3. Hi just wondering, if a fox has been despatched in a trap does it leave any odours in the trap that would deter future foxes from entering the trap?
  4. I went to a job & the Rentokil assessor had been & looked at the job & confirmed there was a wasp nest & would go back & put it on the system, so the lady said are you not going to treat it?. no someone will be over in 3-4 days to treat it. so how much will it be? £95 was the answer, her reply was forget it I will ring someone local, so she rang me I was there within 2 hours treated hers & her mates round the corner & charged them £25 each. fair I thought
  5. been catching a few small one's around Northampton area
  6. Hi All, I was wondering if a Larsen trap set down on the ground or one on legs has better success in catching magpies, I'm sure people have tried both just wondering about their results cheers look forward to your replies
  7. if you look at the fur on its rear end it has been pushed forward as if another mole has been trying to get past it in the tunnel I've had this before & when you set the trap again you will catch it next day, I've never seen a bald patch like that only the arse end eaten away
  8. yep had a few doubles this week now its stopped raining & warmed up a bit, as matt says love is in the air, I some times get moles with there back ends pushed in where another is trying to get passed but not chewed at all.
  9. here's a mole trap I pulled up today with a mole with its arse chewed, the second photo is one I pulled up last year complete with not a mole!!
  10. well there has been some very interesting bits & pieces talked about on this thread from rats in a loft to moles to swans. The good news is the rat has now been caught using glue boards around the original cage trap baited with bird seed & peanut butter. I also loose mole traps to badgers! & if you ever leave a dead mole on the surface its gone the next day so something likes them. Keep the interesting views coming its been a pleasure to read sensible thoughts instead of people talking shite & willy waving!! Cheers Ian
  11. well I've got my answer there's 2 rats quite happy to go in & out of the cage trap eating the bird food all the way to the trigger plate then no further. the camera was activated 70 times in 12 hour period so very busy evening for them. not sure how to add video's onto the forum so can some one tell me how to do it then i'll add some footage
  12. Thanks for all the advise, I don't think it is mice as the food at the back of the trap hasn't been touched, the entry point into the house was the cooker hood extractor vent, the flexy ducting has been chewed & they have got into the cavity of the walls this now has been meshed. I have gone through everything with the owners about using bait, there argument for not using it is the smell of things decaying in the walls or loft & possibility of the dogs eating dead things!! I have explained they would have to eat a bucket of bait to die!! I'm putting a camera up there tomorrow so
  13. gents, A couple of weeks ago I was called to deal with squirrels in a loft as the owners have seen several in the garden & now noises coming from the loft, so live catch traps set up in the loft baited with whole maize. a few days later got a call to say not a squirrel but a rat in the trap!! so rat despatched & traps reset with peanut butter bird seed etc the seed at the front of the trap keeps going & the peanut butter off the trigger plate but not setting the trap off. the owners have 2 small dogs so don't want me to use any poison up there. wondered if any one
