im expecting a two year old lurcher out of good working lines but hasnt done much, should i just start it off the same way as youd start a younger pup? and is there any advice or tips to getting it going?
-
i need to invest in a pair of those body grippers then

Ok soif you have to dig to the ferret how do you do that? ive never had a ferret kill with a squirrel the put up a bit more of a fight than a rabbit!
-
where can i find a set of these and how do they work?
-
okay will do thanks guys

Most of the time the holes are in tree stumps or low enough to reach but if theyre right up there then you just move on!

You've never done it then I take it :s they don't just stay in trees the dogs hit them up and on the ground, if they don't catch them by the time the go in to a hole in the tree or an old wall you chuck the ferret in and wait for it to bolt Haha its a good laugh!

The last couple of times I've been out ferreting the rabbits I've caught have been full of young, so I decided to stop hunting rabbits and have a crack with squirrels no gun just a spaniel lurcher and the ferrets and its one of the most fun things I've done, I would recommend it to all youngsters an begginers cracking stuff

I've recently taken back up deterring and have been catching a few everytime I go out, eventhough there isn't that many rabbits on the land I hunt. Has anyone got any recipes for rabbit?
