  2. Thanks a lot for the kind words Ruby16, much appreciated. I should point out that you paid sight unseen, so in my opinion you deserve more credit than me! All the best, Eric
  3. Done, let me have your details
  4. SOLD Gamo Hunter 440 .177 with Tasco 3-9 X 40 scope, replacement two stage trigger (http://www.charliedatuna.com/Testimonia ... rigger.htm) and Ridge Line New Zealand gun slip value approximately 75.00 pound. Swap for Hawke Sidewinder scope or WHY?der scope.
  5. Hi WoodsmanJim, Yes, I'll try and get out sometime this week and do some testing, fingers crossed for some good weather. Got the selection packs from Pellet Perfect (http://www.pelletperfect.co.uk/) Had a good day out up at Byley FTC, first time up there and what a fabulous place. Great bunch of enthusiasts from a very wide cross selection. All sorts of gear in use and a really excellent set-up with a wooded shoot around water. I'll certainly be sure to pull through between pellets and I'll set the Chrony F1 up attached to Chrono Connect so I can upload the results. Eric
  6. Chased about everywhere after a non-camo bean bag cushion and was let down by a couple of places. Got hold of Redbeck (http://www.airrifleshop.co.uk/) and they got a black one out in two days for standard posting cost. Excellent result!
  7. +1 for the AA Diablo Field. They really appear to suit my HW 97K a treat - although, I recently ordered up a 'variety pack' of JSB Exact Diablo 4.51, 4.52 and 4.5 mm, JSB Exact RA 4.52mm, JSB Exact Express 4.52mm and Weihrauch F&T Spec 4.51mm and intend sitting down with them sometime next week. I'll try and present as detailed report as yours Jim. So, pull through after each variety and then pop a few through before starting?
  8. I was in a very similar position recently - originally had a 77K back in the early 80's, loved it to bits. Recently came back to air rifle shooting and analysed every last bit of information I could find. OK, choice made, it's going to be a Air Arms S400 Superlite in .177. Off I trot to the gunsmiths and when I get my hands on it, it just doesn't feel right. Alright, I know it's an extremely accurate bit of kit capable of placing pellet on top of pellet, but with all the paraphernalia of tanks and bottles and valves and kit - and then the reports of leaking valves etc.. I'm still in two minds.
  9. Hi, what about the front one fella? How did you attach that one? Use a 14.5mm Bisley swivel with a single turn of black insulation tape between it and the cocking lever, both for snug fit and to protect metal finish. Works just fine.
  10. Hi Rob, really interesting reading. any chance you could post the URL of the YouTube video's, I can't see them on this iPad. Thanks, Eric
  11. Got my .177 KTS a couple of weeks back and have to admit, after fitting the V-Mach kit it really does feel like a nice fit. Incidentally, Bisley swivels are fine in the synthetics stock so long as you make sure the 'pilot' hole you drill leaves a good amount of material for the thread to pick up on. Used my drill on slow-speed screwdriver mode to insert the pin, then reattached the swivel.
  12. Good write-up, not too sure about lying on a muck heap though :-)
  13. All in all sounds like a very pleasant afternoon out - nice pictures!
  14. I think I saw one of these last weekend, trouble was it was 'Nestle'd' down in the grass and I couldn't get a clear shot :-)
