  1. Just read this thread end to end, well what else is there to do on a freezing cold day? Both weapons have their ideal uses, it's horses for courses. I would use my .22lr all the time for rabbits, but in many instances I can't get close enough on open fields and that's where the HMR comes in with accuracy at range. Beyond 130 yards you need to start looking for a heavier load and a more powerful rifle. Mine's a CZ 452 Varmint with a 16 inch barrel by the way. Check out my review. http://www.urbanfieldsportsman.com/index.php/cz-452-varmint-17-hmr-rimfire/
  2. Just received a Gun Tuff Holographic 11 mm red/green dot sight from Ramsbottom. Solid anodised ali contruction and four choices of reticule. It was easy to fit and zero, giving a dozen hits well within the 20 mm target bull. Can't wait to get out and try it in the barn.

One day I arrived to find about twenty cars parked up and on entering the land was approached by a couple of very angry "sportsmen", who informed me that this was their shoot and I was trespassing. If I got my rifle out they would call the police and do me for armed trespass. I showe
  5. Hi All, I've recently moved to the Bracknell area from South Bucks, where most of my permissions are. I have had a FAC for several years and shoot a variety of rifles, CZ 452 Varmint 17 HMR, Magtech 7022 .22lr semi auto, Career 707 FAC .22 PCP carbine, Webley Venom Viper .22 PCP carbine and CZ Relum .177 springer. I have a couple of permissions in this area, but am looking to extend my range. My main targets are rabbit, pigeon and rat. Do members know of a syndicate in my area, that may be keen to accept an experienced verminator like myself as a member. I recently started a blog sit
