  1. Thanks for the replies a lot of info there and the video was good to watch I'll start to set it up properly and see how I get on. I shoot ttf sideways I find that easiest. I have made home made ones but never banded them up. I have a picture but not sure how to post it?

  3. Hi, I've been using the proshot blood sport for a while now after reading the the treads on here when I was looking for a starter catapult. After quite a few fork hits I finally got to grips with it and my accuracy is down to a jam jar lid about 15m (paces) away, I've tried single and double bands and been using 9.5mm steel bb as ammo. Single bands I find it hard to get power and accuracy as my anchor point is passed my head, I was resting the band on my cheek bone but wasn't that great. With the handle of the catapult I find it slightly too long to fit in my hand properly as well. Where sho

  5. The little stinker is doing fine still a little wobbly yesterday but eating and drinking well. Today even better seems more alert still eating well and lively. Pretty sure he's going to be ok.
  6. I have a silver hob that's 9 weeks old and I f***ing dropped it on the patio. I'm absolutely gutted, slipped out of my hands as I was holding two. It's had a seizure I held it in my hands and it came round. Slowly but surely it seems to be improving. Eaten twice and seems a lot better made sure it's had water too. Still a little clumsy on its feet. I'm taking it up the vets tomorrow for a check up. Have I done the right thing? Is there any advice anyone has. I feel awful for the poor little thing.
  7. Been out tonight for a walk on a lead at first due to walking along the roads. Walked to my permission which is a fruit farm although the factory part has a huge car park and private roads so nice and quite and it's lit up so we could see. Let him off the lead and walked about he stayed close seemed a bit scared to go off, got him to sit and wait I walked away checking on him as I went he just sat there, I didn't go to far at first. Called his name and "come on" and off he went straight towards me, lots of praise when he arrived he loved it lol. Did this a few times increasing the distance a b
  8. I have a mate with a grass field holds a few rabbits but it's quite and and away from anyone going to go over there this weekend and give his recall a go we've done a bit at home he sits and stays well. He will sit on the footpath at the front of the house I can get him to recall in though the house to the back garden. No sure how he would be if there were distractions so the field seems like a good place. Cos if he does go off least he can't get out of the field.
  9. Gonna have my work cut out then :-) he's shown more interest in a leaf blowing in the garden when ive been trying to call him in so I can see where your coming from.
  10. Just out of interest how do you go about teaching recall? My pups only 13 weeks atm he's a Bedlington terrier. When out for walks so we don't really let him off the lead yet. How do you go about teaching your dogs?
  11. Hi I've found this topic interesting with some helpful advice. I have a Bedlington Terrier who is 12 weeks although he won't be used for a gun dog I do like the principles of gun dog training I feel heel work is important to me especially when off the lead. With what has been already said do you think I can do the same with my dog? Also at 12 weeks would it be a good time to start heel work training? I'm new to dogs and training but would like to get it right, Is there a big difference in terriers and spaniel's? All the best Kieren.

I was pretty sure there was nothing that could been done other than just leave them alone and hope they move on. Thought I'd check on here though. So thank you for the replies, anyone got Brian Mays number?
